Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceHowever, the bed sheets had a damp smell because the toilet is inside the room without any separation, which really needs to be improved. Also, the place hadn’t been cleaned after the previous rental — there was hair everywhere in the shower and on the floor.
Everything was very easy and convenient, the place is centrally located and close to everything.

AustraliaLack of elevator was annoying for moving luggage. The self service set up isn’t for me. I prefer face to face and human contact. No reception, no greeting, no connection.
Most comfortable bed I’ve had for under $1,000 a night in Europe. Location was great, easy walk to many shops, and public transport. Quiet of a night time. Room, while small, was very nice. Loved the window over the bed. Bar fridge was very useful.

United KingdomMe and my partner where traveling through Belgium and picked The Librarian in Gent as our choice. The room we had was on the top floor was nice and glad we upgraded to have the balcony as it gave more space to the room and was nice to end the night having a glass of wine and relax. The bed was comfy and the air-conditioning worked perfect during the hot weather during the trip. We have one small issue with the shower head but the hotel team sorted that out quickly and appreciate the quick response and repair being done ASAP.

SwitzerlandYou could hear everything happening in the hallway from inside the room – the door offered no sound insulation. It also couldn't be locked from the inside, so anyone with the entry code could come in at any time. The coffee machine didn’t work, which was disappointing, but it can happen...
Nice location, everything is in walking distance. The check-in process was easy and smooth. The bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was strong – both in the shower and at the sink.

IndonesiaThe toilet and shower had overlapping sliding doors, so the shower door could only be opened if the toilet sliding door was shut. A bit of a hassle, but nothing too difficult. Even though shower gel was provided, it would be nice to have a little rack to put your own shower bottles on while showering. The walls were not really soundproof, so you can hear the neighbours a bit. Lastly, the shower head came of while adjusting it. It was difficult to reattach it to the tube. I hope they can fix it properly or get a new one.
The property was located right in the centre, parking, transport and restaurants were all close by, 3-5 min walking distance. Checking in with the code sent by mail went great. The room was spacious enough for two and clean, everything had a neat outlook.

Central location. 10-20 meters from the main tram line Everything is automated. No receptionist. You only keep in touch via WA with their staff. Very helpful btw. If you arrive early- they can help put your bags downstairs before check in at 3pm. They will help open the automatic door. No breakfast etc. Purely for staying but super quick for a 1 day stay etc. Bed was comfortable. Toilets and shower all clean.

BelgiumWhen we arrived the door lock didn’t work so we had to contact staff by phone. Then when we entered the room there were many flies in the room. In the morning I awoke to a kind of loud peeping noise that kept me awake. Even after an hour there was nobody that came or did anything about it. When I left I saw that it came from a fire alarm that had to be reset or something.

DenmarkThis is a glorified hostel. For the price, you would expect to have a an actual bathroom, and not the toilet in the room itself. The amenities are minimal, not even a small table to sit at and work. No staff at all, it genuinely is an over priced hostel.

United StatesWe were told that we could store our bags at the property until check in time but the "virtual reception" system left us unable to contact a live representative to open the front door. Additionally, there are sensor operated lights in the bathroom that shut off after exactly 4 seconds, with no manual on/off switch. Finally, there was a minor mosquito infestation---spotting five/ten in the room each night.
Nice location close to the old town center. Polite and friendly housekeeping.
