Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

We had the garden room which was very nice probably because the main hotel was full but the room needed the cobwebs removing especially from around the headboard of the bed we removed several spiders just before bed
Handy location really comfortable hotel with great indir and outside seating and spaces

Very costly to add additional spa facilities onto the cost of the hotel.

The swimming pool was under maintenance so not possible to use Very disappointing when you book because of that facility and you cannot use it Very unfortunate timing for maintenance : june

Hotel advertises EV Charging, however there is no information available on whick app to use, the hotel just stated charger is run by another company not the hotel. The instructions on the outlet in Dutch and French only guide to basic use assuming that you have a key device or app already installed. That's fine but the hotel should be able to guide you what app to use for connection and possibly the charge rate and cost! The hotel is stating they have an EV charger available (2) but have no info on its use!!! We were driving a hybrid car and only needed about 10amps to fill us, so could manage without but not use the EV Low emission possible for the car! We cannot shout green credentials and have the facilities but not be able to guide and help guests to use them!!
Welcoming Reception emailed that we may arrive within the hour prior to check-in time, replied no problem. Welocme on arrival and was guided to the room and indroduced to the facilities. We enjoyed the restuarnt in the evening.

The breakfast could be more variable, as for the price (15EUR). Some things did not work for us in sauna but we might have clicked wrong buttons so it is always better to ask at the reception.
Friendly staff, nice room, very clean facilities. Nice swimming pool and sauna. Hotel is very spacious. Off season there are not so many people which we actually liked.

The dinner we had was a total disappointment. Expensive and not well cooked and a poor choice of the main ingredient. Overall the feeling was that they try to take advantage of the relative lack of proper restaurants in the vicinity

We stay with us dog in this hotel 2-3x times a year and this is us favorite hotel. Owners is very nice and friendly. Hotel rooms is clean and bed is comfy. Restaurant food is delicious! Very relaxing and a home feeling!

We really like this hotel and the owners!. They are so friendly and very beautiful hotel. Breakfast is good and bed is comfy. Restaurant food delicious. We stay 4-5 times in year if we visit Tongeren.!

We are like how kind is owner,very helpful and lovely owner.They make you very welcome and also us dog. Very good food in restaurant and very good breakfast. We are been stay in there now 3x in this year and we like coming back again. Easy parking . Clean room and comfy bed. Thank you

Charging 15 euros extra for the breakfast was not worth it. Would expect better quality and service for that price. Surroundings inside and out felt artificial, but you can't argue with taste.
Location was ok. The room was clean, and bed comfortable. The hotel was also clean, and they mention that hygiene is important to them. Peaceful area, where it was possible to take an evening walk nearby. Activities were driving distance.
