How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Arriving in Mons we were met by Marc and guided to our accomodation for the evening, the Dragon House. We had two lovely and spacious rooms and a decent kitchen too. The house had lots of period features and eclectic decor, shabby chic I guess. The place was blissfully quiet even though it was only 5 minutes walk from the Grand Place. There was plenty of space for a laptop, the shower was good and it was a very convenient stay. Parking was on road and free 6PM - 9AM I think. We got breakfast from the Au Millefeuille bakery round the corner. The kitchen was very well equipped so we could have eaten properly if we were staying longer.

Everything you need for a couple of nights in Mons there is a kitchen which is fully equipped and there is a dining area also. Rooms are spacious and clean. This is the 2nd time here and Marc was so helpful and feindly. I will come here again.

Nothing I didn't like really. Should mention though that I was on a cycling trip. There is some storage space for cycles but not large numbers. So if you are in a group of more than two cyclists I'd suggest better check there is space ahead of booking.
Friendly owner made me feel very welcome. Great value close to historic centre.. Accommodation has much character. Kitchen and free tea and coffee a bonus. Enjoyed Mons and if you want to try a few different Belgian beers to see which you like would recommend a VB suit to Golden Coach bar.

After a while you get used to the parking habits in Mons. You can drop off outside provided you take a Belgian approach to stopping regs. There is no covered car park in the centre for cars with roof boxes, and no free street parking inside the ring after 09:00 or before 17:00. The Mons parking app is foreigner-unfriendly.
A nice house, a three minute walk from Grand Place. I had the ground floor room, which is enormous and comfortable, though the plumbing left a bit to be desired. A regular stand-up shower would have been better than the huge stand-alone bath. There is a patisserie down the road and the breakfast room is large.

No free parking but paid street parking & paid car parks were close.
Well presented. The owner was extremely helpful, giving us a choice of all available rooms and lots of useful info.

I am super satisfied, I recommend it to everyone. The style and decor of the room was beautiful. Shared kitchen and living room also very nice and clean. Quietly located, close to restaurants and about a 2-minute walk from the city. The host was very friendly and helpful.

A bit noisy in town that evening/night, we were woken up a few times during the night, but that is no fault of the owners.
Very friendly welcome from Mathias. Great explanation and info of things to do in Mons, including a full description of the Doudou dragon story and festival. The location is superb, being only a few minutes on foot from the main attractions that Mons has to offer. The room was well above our expectations, very big, clean and with all the amenities needed. Great shared space on the main floor, well equipped kitchen. We would stay here again.

It was my second time there. It is very close to the main square. The room was nice and clean. The shower was good. The shared lounge and kitchen are very convenient. The kitchen is well equipped and has a big fridge and beverages for the guests. The hairdryers are kept in there, in a drawer.

One major issue was the smell in the room - drains? Despite our best efforts with air freshener and opening windows, it persisted throughout our 2 night stay which was a shame. We informed Mathias so hopefully this has been resolved.
Lots to like. Great location. Access was easy via entry codes and communication was efficient. Lovely to have the shared kitchen, which was very well equipped, and the lounge area. Warm and comfortable. The room we had (Doudou) was warm, light, bright and spacious. The private bathroom was also good albeit down some stairs from the bedroom - not an issue for us. Bed was comfortable and the shower good. Good, safe storage for our bikes.

Everything was very comfortable and clean.The location was perfect, so close to the center and near to the station.The owner is very nice person, so you will have good opportunity for really good time at this place.
