How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewGreat large flat screen tv (high on the wall) and quite large room.
This is a “love”?? hotel…more like a sex destination. There was a jacuzzi bath in the bedroom, and handcuffs and padded necklace provided. Just wrong really. Liberal use of black walls and blinds. All a bit strange. Watched a major football match on the large screen tv (nice), and left after discovering the bondage gear.

Verified reviewWe had a great evening and night with our private sauna. The location is great, not too far from the fiver and city center. But we could have stayed in the room the hole day, if we didn't have to check out because it was gorgeous, the big bed, the crisp sheets, the sauna.. Also they brought us breakfast which was great.
There's no receptionist, you have to call a number to get in the building, which first felt a bit strange for a hotel of this price range. But once we were inside they were very sweet and everything went smooth.

Verified reviewCheck-in was ok, we could timely enter the Suite Cocon. The staff was engaged at check-in even English wasn't really spoken. From outside the location looked very exciting, but ...
We booked the Suite Cocon for 240€ per night over a weekend. The pictures on Booking as well as on their homepage (https://www.maisonnoppius.be/fr/suites?suite=cocon#suite-gallery-cocon-10) do not show the truth. There wasn't a separate douche in the bathroum. Taking a shower was only possible by sitting in the bath tube. Therefore, using the infrared sauna was not really relaxing and comfortable. The kitchen shouldn't be used. Breakfirst wasn't inculded in the room price. The Suite Cocon was in the 3rd floor (no elevator) and did not have the quality that would have been expected for the price and the photos. Local communication was not possible as little to no English was spoken. The complaint sent via email afterwards received only a moderate response. The problems were not addressed but were confirmed as known. This disappointed us immensely! We requested a compensation but have not received any response since then. Please refer to the attached “real” photos to make your on picture of Suite Cocon! However, we cannot make any statements about the other rooms!

The inflexible check-in from 17:30 to 19:45 and the very early check-out at 10:30, so you are practically paying over €250 for 17 hours in Liege (!), in a hotel that didn’t provide handsoap in the bathroom until I specifically asked, over promised on their amenities and — sadly — smelt of cat litter in the room.

Verified reviewThe couple hosting the property was very nice and helpful, unfortunately we encountered some technical issue with the jacuzzi and were not able to enjoy it, but they proposed a solution for this inconvenience on checkout. The location is ok, still a walking distance to the center, the parking nearby was free.

Verified reviewAmazing owners, very accommodating. Relaxing room with a spa and sauna to recuperate after 3 hectic days at the Belgium Grand Prix. Loved the decor, very on trend. Wine on request and Belgium chocolates as a complimentary treat. Excellent coffee provided with an espresso machine. We were dropped into town to explore and to the train station before our trip to Paris which was over and above. Would def stay here again if back in Belgium and looking for something a little bit extra than a standard hotel room. We ordered in daily and was easy to meet drivers. All in all the room was great and location was so convenient as the train station is walking distance. Thank you to the owners for our memorable stay in Belgium.
