Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere's nothing wrong with it. Don't expect what the listing says. There's one guy (so far as I can tell) doing the place up. It's a nice place...really nice...and I suspect it gets better every day. But it felt a bit empty for me. Felt like I was intruding almost. See what you think.

BelgiumOne single thing. The curtains let too much light in the room in the morning. Maybe it’s because I’m sensitive for light when I’m sleeping. But this is really the only comment I have
The decoration of the entire house and the fact there is a swimming pool. The food the woman of the house cooked for us was delicious!

FinlandHost could have been a bit more helpful, it was not so easy to figure out some of the details as they did not explain very well how to book and use the sauna, for example.
Nice dinner and breakfast. Cosy room and a nice building with lots of history.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing was wrong with this property or our stay.
What a way to start our 3 weeks touring Europe in our open top car. Everything was excellent and above our expectations. We will be staying again when next in the area. There was plenty of Parking. Evening meal and breakfast were superb.

NetherlandsNext time, we'd probably book a ground floor room, so we can have our own seating area outside. The pool is quite small, so time slots are allocated per room, which some may find limiting. Everything else was perfect.
A lovely peaceful location and a very friendly welcome awaited us. Our room on the first floor was very comfortable, with a nice big bed and modern bathroom. We requested dinner, which was served on the terrace with other guests. We had 3 courses, very fresh and delicious. Our hosts were delightful and nothing was too much trouble, even our dog chasing the cats around the garden!

United KingdomNothing. We loved the place.
The hotel is very quirk and very French. The room was divine. Really interesting and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Our hosts were lovely and accommodating to our broken (poor) French. The little cats were a great hit with the kids.

LuxembourgPersonally, we didn't mind these two facts at all, but it may still be relevant for guests to know: - the house is a super lovely and very cosy place that makes you feel right at home, but neither the whole house nor the rooms are locked in any way and the room didn't have a key either. So if you're carrying valuables, maybe you need a different stay. - the owners have cats that also enter the house. So if you have allergies, maybe tell them before hand so they can make sure the cats are out.
- Tasty, freshly prepared breakfast including home-made yoghurt. - Bright and well-organised super cosy room. - A lot of room to enjoy a rainy afternoon playing games - Possibility to use a kitchen yourself - Wonderful garden and access to walking paths. - There were a lot of families with kids there, but because of the way the house is build, it doesn't impact those who wish a quiet stay at all. Forthcoming and uncomplicated hosts with open communication about anything you may need to make your stay comfortable.

NetherlandsFor the price charged the bed quality needs to be improved for the future. It was not communicated beforehand that the swimming pool was closed due to a technical issue and one pays the price based on access to a pool. That needs to improve. If the pool or hot tub is closed guests need to know that in advance and a room discount would be appropriate.
Within what is offered : a self made hotel style bed and breakfast in the Ardennes countryside the Maison Jules could hardly be better. It is a work in progress and people who complain about a wire sticking out of a wall or a messy garden should be forbidden of ever staying in the country side anywhere ontbos planet and stay at the Waldorf Astoria only or in any clinical suburb formula hotel if the Astoria is above budget. The beds were better than expected although perhaps slightly hard. The decoration is very tasteful mixing modern design with brocante elements. Breakfast was bake off but from a real baker and was part tailored and if you want more ….just ask. We wish the host every succes in finishing the rest.

GermanyThe beds were God awful, plus there was a door that people kept going through and it kept slamming shut until past midnight. The walls are threadbare and the mattresses were I assume old because they had zero support (and I dont even like a firm mattress). Literally slept zero hours during the night. The evening before they asked if we wanted a drink (we didn't get the dinner, it was very expensive for what turned out to just be fish, although it smelled good) and we ordered two sodas and two beers. They didn't tell us the price beforehand and they too were expensive. No restaurants nearby either. I would not stay here again.
Breakfast was decent, just bread, jams, meats, and cheese, the usual fare. They made soft boiled eggs if you ask for them. Fire in the fireplace in the evening was nice, the owners were friendly but didnt speak hardly any English.

United KingdomRoom didn’t have any of the features that we booked - open fire, coffee making etc. we were told Pool was booked for private use , and was ice cold, then another family just entered. Very awkward. Didn’t get much of a welcome either - not told about food plans. Asked for options and was told to go to Bastogne. Then I see a message saying they do an evening meal! All a bit odd. Maybe we caught the owner on a bad day.
Breakfast was lovely
