Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI couldn’t fault this b&b!
Beautiful b&b in a perfect location. Our room and bathroom was huge, and spotlessly clean. Nice bonus to be able to enjoy a drink on the terrace overlooking the river.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing. Everything was perfect.
A beautiful small hotel, stunning and very convenient location overlooking the river. A spacious beautiful room with spacious bathroom and small fridge and coffee machine with products provided. Very friendly host and a very plentiful buffet breakfast with so many lovely choices. Highly recommend.

United StatesThe only challenges we encountered were carrying our bags up 3 flights of stairs and there being no air conditioning. These were not a surprise to us though and did not make us enjoy our stay any less.
We visited several locations during our trip and this was one of my favorite places we stayed. The BnB was easy to find and its central location made it excellent for when we wanted to explore the area without committing to being out all day. It was clean and furnished tastefully. One of my favorite memories will be enjoying the wonderful breakfast on the outside terrace. For anyone looking to visit Dinant, I would wholeheartedly recommend staying at Les Terrasses de Sax.

United KingdomStreet noise - there is a bar to the left, so had to keep windows shut to block late night revelry. But a fan is provided to keep you cool.
Beautifully styled small hotel (just 4 rooms), with stunning river view from window and from the generous terrace (not the one attached to room 2). Friendly housekeeper let us wait in the public breakfast room to shelter from the rain. Excellent location, with easy instructions about using the code to enter both main building and our room.

United StatesI hate to complain about this lovely place, but one minor drawback is that the rooms were very warm with only a little ventilation. We did not expect A/C, as that seems to be a rarity in Europe, but another fan or the ability to open the windows a bit more would have made the nights more comfortable.
We loved our stay in little Dinant. While there, we hired a taxi to bring us to Weris to hike around the megaliths, and then to Durbuy, a charming place dubbed "the smallest city in the world". Dinant has some great bars, a few very good restaurants, and friendly people. Our host at Les Terrasses was wonderful, very friendly and helpful.

SingaporeNot the property’s fault, but finding a nearby parking spot during the peak hours of the day is very difficult, given its location right by the town center.
The room and toilet was very elegant, spacious and clean. The location right by the town center was excellent. The balcony overlooking the river was a fantastic place to relax after a long day of exploring the town and surrounding areas. Despite its location by the town center, it is not noisy.

United KingdomThe private terrace needs a way of being cleaned and needs to be routinely checked: the artificial grass hangs on to any bits that are dropped on it. We should have looked for a message on our Booking account for the entry codes - but this was only sent on the day when we were travelling which made it hard to retrieve. The owner (who was away during our stay) was helpful on the phone but it's advisable to check your Booking messages on the day, before you are standng on the street with your luggage, stabbing at your exhausted phone while the limited free parking ticks away!
The guesthouse consists of just 4 bedrooms with all of the beautiful ground floor given to communal space for guests, including a lounge which opened onto a large furnished outdoor space looking on the river; breakfast room and a room set up as a dining room where you could work, play the (supplied) board games etc. We and our family members had rooms 1 & 2 on the first floor including the room with the private terrace, which was worth the extra cost. Location and views up the river are outstanding. Noise from the lively Corniche provided atmosphere, but stopped early enough for us. Rooms are 19thC elegant and spacious, but furnishings modern and tasteful - no Ikea bleakness here! We appreciated the bathroom being off a vestibule and not off the bedroom itself. Beds were huge and comfy, bathrooms new and highly functional. An efficient-looking fan was provided but cool breezes from the river were enough for us. No mosquitoes encountered. Wifi worked fine in most areas of our room. We had Nespresso machines, cups & pods, plus a fridge in each room. The kitchen is not for guests' use but, as you walk through it to get to the rooms, use of its kettle and sink seemed to be OK. Other guests had even borrowed cups, cutlery etc (we had our own picnic set). On the communal terrace there is a big table under shade, which we used for our lunch one day. We did not have the breakfast but it looked nice. Staff were present mornings only; check in was autonomous with door codes. Rooms were not routinely serviced so we made our beds, washed cups, etc. but, when I messaged, eg for more coffee pods, the response was swift & friendly. The staff very kindly let us leave our Wepion strawberries in the fridge after check-out until we were leaving town. Parking is close by (E6/day) and plenty of restaurants, bars, bakeries and a small supermarket are in easy walking distance.

United KingdomThere is little parking at this location but there are a few car park options close-by. For those travelling on Motorcycle, there is a dedicated parking area on the waterfront which was less than 5 min walk and in sight of our room. No AC in the room, but there was a fan to help keep us comfortable.
This location is right on the waterfront with several bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. The breakfast in the morning looked good (we regretted not booking this). The bathroom was nice and modern.

United KingdomWish we booked a longer stay!
We really enjoyed our stay here in the double room with terrace. Stunning views, light and spacious room and a comfortable bed. Breakfast is well worth the €9, great coffee, fresh croissants etc. Communication with the host via Booking chat and in person was friendly and easy. The house/accommodation itself is stunning and is a stones throw away from bars, cafes, restaurants whilst also not being noisy at night. Amazing.
