Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Very friendly service & hospitality by the accommodation hosts. They pay attention to every single detail. The property is very clean and spacious. They served all the guests in very timely manner. The hosts were very proficient in Dutch!

The mansion is beautiful and well kept. Wellness facilities are very nice! The hosts are welcoming, warm and open and have so much style! I really liked the interior.

Everything was perfect!
Beautiful place to stay and relax with a gorgeous garden and everything you need to switch off from life. Not only that but the owners are really kind and welcoming people which made our stay outstanding!

Amazing !! From the moment you arrive it feels like home. Amazing hosts. Food excellent and the pool is such a bonus. Very relaxing place to stay and get away from the hustle and bustle of hectic working life.

The hospitality was great, very friendly. Beautifully kept rooms. We were lucky to have room with balcony, sat outside enjoying the evening sun & the bird song. There is a swimming pool that looked very inviting but on this occasion we did not use. Breakfast had a good choice of food & drinks. We only stayed one night after a long day of travelling so glad the bed was comfortable for a good night's rest. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect overnight stay. Parking on site. Friendly, informative host welcomed us with a drink. Beautiful and comfy rooms. Pool & Sauna. Nice garden. Faultless! Nearby Italian restaurant for evening meal (booking recommended).

Superb, friendly service from Stefan and Serge. Our room was very comfortable with views of the large garden and although we didn't use the pool it looked excellent. We travel to Libin regularly to visit family and we will definitely stay here again. Excellent value.

The service is impeccable, the breakfast is absolutely delicious and the rooms/bathrooms are beautifully decorated, very compfortable and spotlessly clean. I didn't try the spa but the other guests who did said it was up to the standard of the rest of the propoerty.

We would have appreciated a lounge area with various tables and seating arrangements to allow guests to relax and for example read or play board games separately. Accessing the spa area through the outdoor garden is not very practical, especially during the cold winter months. The rooms lack a boiler/coffee maker.
We loved the deco style and the warm welcome from the hosts and their attention to our comfort. The breakfast was delicious and had a variety of options. You can freely enjoy the sauna, swimming pool and jacuzzi with a view on the garden. For a good dining experience in the restaurants around ( particularly in Redu) make sure to book in advance.

Location is perfect for hiking, visiting the European Space Centre, enjoying the Ardennes. The hosts are very welcoming and polite. Breakfast was delicious with a nice view. The wellness is warm, clean and roomy. The rooms are clean and perfect as a couple.

There was nothing to dislike, it’s an amazing place.
Loved everything! The pool and jacuzzi were sheer luxury! The house is immaculately furnished and spotlessly clean, our room was spacious, the bed comfy and breakfast perfect.

That I'm not still there!!!
Wow wow wow. My Husband and I are no stranger to Booking.com hotels and B&B's in the UK and Europe We've just completed another motorbike trip of 23 nights across Europe and we both agree that L'albizia is the nicest one we've ever stayed at. The attention to every part of the service, attitude, room, breakfast etc was outstanding. The building and it's grounds are so beautiful and the pool/sauna/hot tub were immaculate. (A little thing that really made me smile was that the towels for the pool area were soft and smelt of fabric conditioner... Ahh just like home and rare in a hotel)

We were surprised when we arrived at L'Albizia. We had imagined that it would be a lovely place but it exceeded our expectation. We were greeted with a welcome drink from the owners in the huge beautiful garden (we rather called it "Park"). The SPA with Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi and Sauna made us really relaxed before the dinner. The breakfast choice was excellent. The villa was in perfect harmony. Super reccomended!!!

There was nothing what I would say as negative.
Very friendly personnel, especially owner of the hotel. The place is quiet. It is possible to sit on the terrace and relax. There is opportunity to use wellness for free. Delicious breakfast based on your selection made in the evening what you want to eat (so there is no wasting food).
