Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryI stayed in a room with 3 friends, but it was way too cramped. The top bunk bed was really uncomfortable to sleep in. Also, the in-room shower stall has a see-through door for some reason, which makes absolutely no sense in a 3 bed room; its either 3 friends or 3 relatives, who also ideally shouldn't see each other naked in every combination. There was also absolutely nowhere to hang wet clothes.
The staff was really nice, helpful and chill, its location is also about 10 min from the Brussels Midi station by train.

ItalyFor the most part everything was great but we left the enter tag on the door but the room wasn’t cleaned which wasn’t a huge deal as we only stayed two nights but mostly just wanted the trash taken out and some toilet paper, but we asked for the things and they gave them to us quickly which made up for everything. The room was fun e but the floors probably need to be redone but didn’t bother us.
Location was easy to get to and the parking was secure and wasn’t too expensive. The room we got was a handicap room and it was spacious. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the room but would stay there again and the price was fair compared to others we researched.

United KingdomThe shower room, if you go with another person that’s not your partner for example a friend or a child, it can be a bit tricky to change and shower as it does not allow much privacy.
In the reception there’s a coffee machine and cold drinks as well as pizzas and a oven just in case you’re hungry. Car park is just 10 pounds for 24 hours, within a couple miles there’s Macdonald and KFC and is a 20 minutes drive to Brussels center. The staff at the reception is very helpful and welcoming. Tv with many channels including a Portuguese one hehe nice!

United KingdomThe shower door is translucent and leads directly to the rest of the room which isn't great for non-family groups (and probably even families with older kids).
It was about a 10 minute walk from a train station and a few shops plus one or two restaurants - not an incredibly convenient location but not bad either. Cleaners knocked on doors every morning at 9-10 which felt a bit early and disturbed us after a late night (though probably our fault for not using the DND sign!). Clean, comfy enough, good for the price especially split three ways for a triple room.

IndiaThis is the first time for me in the IBIS budget hotel but did-not expect the rooms to be so small. Literally it was just around 150-180 sq foot room and everything is packed into it. The toilet or bathroom is so small we canth bath or turn around freely. Another thing is the small space for breakfast where the crowd is too much (for that many rooms in a hotel, it is the smallest space that never going to fit).
The staffs were great

United KingdomYou had to pay to get in and out of the car park every time you left it, which wasn't convenient as nothing was close by. There were only two plug sockets to charge anything and there were 3 of us trying to charge up our work devices.
It's a budget, and we've stayed in this chain before, so there wasn't anything fancy about it. It had clean bedding, towels, and we slept quite well.

LuxembourgThe room could have been cleaner and the bunk bed had just a thin blanket, the power sockets didn’t function and the room wasn’t warm - just ok, even though we turned the heating up. It was quite expensive for the facilities and level of cleanliness, but it’s ok for a simple stay. The staff are lovely and helpful and friendly.
The breakfast is ok but simple and enough. The location is handy and close to the train station and a a similar walk to a couple of small shops such as carrefour and a Del Haize shop & go at the garage. There’s a bar opposite. The parking was very convenient too. There’s a few bits you can get in the hotel lobby too.

NetherlandsIf I had to mention something that disappointed me about ibis Budget Hotel, it would be the room interior. The design is quite basic, which is expected in a budget hotel, but the excessive animations on the walls make the room less appealing. Not everyone enjoys those busy visuals, and it would be nice to have a more neutral or calming option. A slightly more subtle approach would make the room more pleasant for a wider audience. Ps: A tip for the staff: it is not allowed to say the room number out loud, but one of your Asian employees did so.So pay attention to this!
