The location of the hotel is great, it's very close to the beautiful church, and around the corner the main square with the beautiful architecture. From our room we had a great view at the church. The staff is very friendly and willing to help to make out stay a great experience.

The halls looked a bit dodgy and the walls were very thin. The windows don't block any noise from outside. The room was pretty dusty.

Slightly disconcerting arrangement with a transparent door on the shower. Very limited tea, coffee and milk in the room.

The location was perfect. Despite being near the Cathedral and old town facilities, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The shower itself and products could not have been better.

Quite loud early morning hoovering (?) or noise from outside but we fell back asleep - for too long actually (see above)!

Staff was incredibly accommodating given our very late check in and made everything so easy. We also overslept and they let us check out an hour late. Food and wonderful, and ws, gracious wonderful people in the cafe/bar adjacent, especially the Venezuelan server who’s a musician whose name escapes me! We met a couple who were having coffee and were looking for a hotel and we highly recommended you!!

The desk chair looks nice as decoration but terrible to sit on and work. Replace the shampoo/ conditioner for just shampoo and use better quality coffee in the bedrooms.

It can be a bit noise due to the very central location, which they acknowledge, as there were disposable ear plugs available. Anyhow, it didn't really disturb my stay.

Room 17 is far from the showcase photo the hotel advertise. The room is strangely arranged, with IKEA furniture etc the bathroom and the glass overlooking the room is really strange. No parking but carpark not far. Great central location

Despite the quirky / luxury decor and billing, the hotel (November 2024) was shabby. Some reception staff and those in the downstairs cafe were gloomy / surly. We didn't book breakfast but asked if we could take breakfast in the cafe on our first morning and pay for it on our bill - no problem we were told at reception; as there were no staff in the cafe we helped ourselves to coffee from the pots on the side, only to be chastised when a cafe staff member did appear as that coffee was for booked breakfasts. Our mistake, but with no signs or staff we hadn't realised and didn't really expect or appreciate the severity of chastisement we received. Others have commented on the noise and it is loud through the night and early hours as street cleaning and delivery lorries trundle across the cobbles outside, but that is normal life there and to be expected in the centre of the historic city. What is less acceptable is the level of noise that permeates between rooms - I could hear the person next door snoring and those in the room above could be heard talking and walking around. We travelled to the hotel from the train station and the taxi had to drop us at an adjacent square as only certain licenced taxis are permitted into the historic area. When we left, the hotel booked a taxi that picked us up from a few doors away, so that was fine. Despite this rather long negative comment, this hotel is well worth considering if you want to stay in the historic centre and can tolerate the noise and surly staff (fortunately, some of the staff were lovely so not all bad at all).

This hotel is in a stunning location for central, 'old town', Antwerp being directly across the square from the Cathedral. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a view to the Cathedral which, for us, was worth the extra cost. Our particular room had a lovely bench seat running the length of the window. There is a (small) lift up to all floors from behind reception. The decor and 'bathroom' are as quirky as they looked in the photos; there is a curtain that can be drawn around the glass walls of the bath / shower if wanted. Some reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel has plenty of cafes and restaurants, so eating out in the evening was never a problem and we ate very well at the places around the cathedral only a minute from the hotel (Xaverius was superb, we ate there twice; Elfde Gebod was ok (not what it was hyped up to be and very noisy); 't Putke was very good and the waffles at House of Waffles made for a great lunch).
