The location on the canal was lovely, also it was a small distance away from the bustling crowds which was nice. It was an oasis of calm inside, exquisitely furnished.

We spent two nights at the hotel. We could not have asked for more. It’s a family run hotel that does its very best for one to feel at home. Its luxury with character. Charming interiors, very well decorated and an awesome staff. The attentiveness is beyond most experiences we ever had. It’s a small hotel in a quiet part of town. 5 minute walk to all the attractions of Bruges. And steps away from a beautiful jogging route. Breakfast in the morning is great which makes for a great start to the day. Thank you Hotel Van Cleef. PS: If you are looking for a busy lobby, big groups of people, and the snazz of expensive cars parked outside, this is not for you.

Absolutely wonderful! we had a glass of champagne / lager and a special heartshaped 30th Anniversary cake/belgian biscuit waiting for us when we arrived! XXX The Breakfasts were stunning...fresh fruit & juices, sweet pastries, bread varieties, toast, bacon, sausage, eggs,(cooked exactly as you prefer..boiled, fried, poached etc,) , and omelettes if you fancied!

This hotel is stunning, nothing it too much trouble for staff. Breakfast was amazing, the rooms are beautifully decorated. Lovely outside area overlooking the water where we sipped bubbles. Brilliant location, you can walk to everything. I would definitely go back and stay again. Thank you

There is nothing that could have improved our stay at this hotel.

Breakfast was a delight! The food was delicious and the atmosphere extremely relaxed and calm. The staff were attentive to our every need and very discreet. We were very kindly given complimentary champagne on our arrival in a beautiful relaxed room before being shown to our bedroom which was exquisitely decorated, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable.

The two-floor layout of our room would be perfect for a couple but, travelling with our daughter, she took the upper 'sitting room' area which left or bedroom space a little small.

All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they are very invested in their guests. On Christmas eve they arranged for a singer and musician to play in the lounge which was delightful. Amazing cooked breakfasts, beautiful spread of pastries which was not always needed for our party of three. The lounge and bar spaces are ideal for spending time in away from the bedroom - we were there for Christmas and it was lovely to be able to go down to open presents etc by the fire. Very good size of bathroom with lovely products.

Nothing it was perfect

It was amazing so clean and well presented. The staff were amazing and were so helpful with everything. It is certainly a trip me and my partner will remember forever and I am already looking at getting back some point in the near future.
