A gorgeous old B&B packed with charm.

I could see a pile of dust under the bed so the floor there could've done with a vacuum and mop. That one thing aside, it's a gorgeous old place packed with charm. If you're reading this, you should stay there.

I really enjoyed my stay here, and would stay again. There's a bus/tram stop very close on the street, lovely and helpful host, nice view of the street out the window, quite a nice charming old building. The internet speed was good enough for work, video calls, or streaming. Convenient shared kitchen space in the hall outside the rooms has everything you need if you want to cook a basic meal there, fridge, microwave, free coffee and tea, cooking oil, seasonings, plenty of whiteware, cutlery, utensils, etc. The owner couldn't meet me on the first day at check-in time so made sure a friend was there instead, and both of them were totally lovely with great suggestions for exploring the city! I could check-in early at 1:30pm which I really appreciated.

Authentical B&B in Gent, which makes you feel at home, with its cozy and warm nature.

Going up three flights of stairs with heavy luggage wasn't the best experience, but it was fine considering that it was an old family house. Additionally, the walls in the room could have been cleaned more thoroughly. There were cob webs in the corners of the room. However, this was all very excusable, since the rest of the room (floor, bed, and furniture) was squeaky clean and had adorable decorations.

It was warm, cozy, and had all the necessary amenities for us to sleep in comfortably. It is relatively close to the city center, only a short walk and a tram away. The host was also such a lovely, kind-hearted person. I would recommend it to anyone looking to visit Ghent!

    Nothing

The room is exactly as advertised, quite large and comfortable. While the bathroom is seperate, it is for private use. There is a little kitchenette that you could make use of, albeit I just used the fridge. Renee, the host, is very friendly and welcoming and was available were any issues to arise, which they didn’t. The location, while about a 15-20 minute walk from the cathedral, is a short walk to Gent-Dampoort railway station if you’re coming by train. There is also a supermarket nearby, along with a really nice local pub and brewery within walking distance. The walk into the centre town is lovely with all the canals and is very pedestrian friendly, so I encourage anyone staying to take this option. Of course, you could jump on a bike as well and be there in 5 minutes. Overall, this is a great place to stay.

The host has been very nice and available. The B&B is close to the city center, in a quiet area well server by public transports. The room was clean and equipped with a kettle and tea and coffe were available. I did not use the little kitchen but it seemed very looked after. Should I ever get back ti Ghent I would return to this B&B

My room was more like an apartment than a hotel room with 2 armchairs, a tv and en suite shower. Renee spoke good English and was really helpful. She messaged me a few days in advance to warn me about the Ghent LEZ charge. I could park my motorcycle directly on the pavement outside the front door. A pleasant 15 minute walk to the city centre.

    1. When cars pass infront of the building, it feels not very comfortable inside the room. Because somehow the room shakes or the bed shakes every time a car passes in front. 2. There's an odd smell when you just got out from the room - smells like from dogs or cats, i cant figure out exactly. 3. Wooden stairs are very steep and it create crackling sounds when you walk, so you need to be careful for your own safety and be mindful not to disturb other tenants. 4. No available shampoo and/or conditioner.

    1. Host is accommodating, she also helped me carry my one large luggage when i was about to check-out since the stairs are steep. 2. The ambiance of the room is very cozy. 3. I liked that they are energy conscious. Host made a reminder to turnoff/lower the heater of the room when not used.

However the furniture is too old and need replacement. Breakfast is served a little bit late. Only starting from 8:15a.m and the money requested for it was too high compared with its quality

The cozy room was quite good, the location was excellent near public transport .The value of the room was worthit. Very helpful and informative host. I recommend

Next time soap should be in the room, there should be clear communication that you come along with your shampoo and shower gel/soap.

The rooms looked small but had everything, Renee was an exceptional kind, and the location was great especial the bus transport accessibility, I did not take breakfast because am not a breakfast person.

it wasn't clear to us from the booking website that also with a private bathroom, this bathroom is not in the room, but one always has to cross the hallway to get there. floors could have been a bit cleaner, I wasn't comfortable walking barefoot in the room or to the bathroom. but the owner told us she will watch out for this better in the future.

very kind and welcoming host. great location. nice room to a green, quiet backyard. room equipped with all basics though some things are a bit old. the old building has it's charm.
