Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe location is quite remote, making it difficult to access without a rental car—otherwise, transportation costs can become very expensive. Additionally, there is no fridge in the room, which is inconvenient when traveling with children.
The room had air conditioning, which made sleeping very comfortable. The rooms were spacious, and our boys had a small adjoining bedroom that gave them some privacy. The breakfast was good, although it offered the same items each day.

SloveniaWe chose this hotel because it was advertised as having an electric car charging station, but unfortunately, none of the chargers were working. We had to search for an alternative in the area, which wasn’t easy. Additionally, there were no nearby dining options, and the hotel itself didn’t offer any food either.
The hotel is basic but perfectly fine for a night or two, especially if you’re just passing through.

United KingdomThe staff member with glasses and a guitar case on our first night (24th May 2025) was unwelcoming and had some sort of an attitude problem. I gave him my UK drivers licence and he still had trouble finding my booking. Additionally, when we asked a few questions about breakfast, and it seemed as if we were taking up his personal time and he just wanted us to leave. Staring for a while before answering, answering with hand gestures, and talking in a low volume, making us ask again. I don't know if he was just having a bad day, but he sure made our day bad for us too.
Firstly the staff members were all very nice and friendly EXCEPT the young guy with glasses and a guitar late at night on 24th May 2025. This guy had a guitar case or something, and had some weird attitude problem - everything he said was accompanied with a dirty look & long pauses while staring. Initially we were allocated a room on the top floor with un-open-able windows and two-separate beds put together, rather than a single double-bed. There was a wall-mounted air conditioner in the room but it was ineffective and the first night we spent was very uncomfortable (perhaps on purpose by that staff member). However the next day we asked for another room with windows that can be opened, and they put us into a ground-floor room. This room was a MUCH higher standard than the upstairs room, bathroom fittings were better, the double-bed was actually a large single double-bed.

United Statesroom was small and not much place for luggage. bed was hard.
pillows were good. breakfast was basic scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs: links and yogurts. all the breads and some fruits. Our room would be good for a single traveler or business person...the Ikea style furniture/fixtures were ergonomically good for management of few items.

UkraineIt is bad that there was no electric kettle in the room (which you can usually find) so there was no chance to make some tea. There seems to be something somewhere in the hall but when you check in very late you do not want to hag around the hotel.
The room was quite big with very large and comfortable beds. Kids loved their bunk beds. The choice of food for breakfast was quite good, the same as everywhere. Big parking on the private closed territory, even with electric charger.

United KingdomI never took breakfast as it was too expensive at €12. Most hotels charge €6 to €8. Or maybe I was quoted an incorrect price.

North MacedoniaAfter staying at a different IBIS property, this room in NIVELLES was just a disappointment 🤢 there is no heating or air-conditioning (inverter) not working in the rooms 🥶 We were with a small child, Is this normal and will the rooms be comfortable enough for that time of the year?
Very helpful staff, good service, clean, NIVELLES is like a village but quiet place for rest, check in - check out was easy👌🏻
