Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe restaurant's look and feel grows old quickly. Nothing too serious if you are only staying a couple of days... Plus, there are other dining options in the area.
Very well located to do trekking in the area (right next to a GR trail). The spa was very good, especially after a long walk in the forest. Great breakfast buffet. The room was comfortable and clean, including a very comfy bed.

LatviaCorridor of room entrance is very dark and bit confusing, easy to get lost.
Hotel is located not very remote meantime gives a feeling of being in forest. I guess this is best destination who enjoys the spa procedures.

LuxembourgThe restaurant food wasn't great and definitely not worth the prices. I was impressed by the decor but the food din't convince at all, that's a real pity for such a great hotel.
The wellness and relaxation area was amazing and the views into nature are great. The serene surrounding is definitely worth a stay and it's very close to Malmedy and Monschau.

NetherlandsDue to renovation breakfast had to be consumed in the room. Breakfast was OK but could have been better knowing the loss of experience / convenience / atmosphere having breakfast in the room. Similarly dinner was outside the premises where to you had to walk in the dark along a dangerous road. There was no recognition of this inconvenience, nor of recognizing visitors from abroad (who do not speak French unfortunately). I would expect better of a 4-star hotel.
Very fair price for the room, the room and bathroom were excellent situated in a beautiful landscape. Unfortunately we did not have time to experience the wellness facilities.

BelgiumThe toilet is in a separate room from the bath/shower, which is fine, but the toilet room was so small that it was very difficult to sit on the toilet with the door closed. You need to reserve ahead for many activities (massages, treatments), which for a smaller resort is understandable, but still, some people might seek more flexibility. It would be nice to have a second hot tub outside and have a bigger pool, but this is not to say that you will not enjoy the wellness centre as is. They should have a master key for the lockers - my friend left something in a locker and another person closed it without noticing the items already inside and this created a problem. Not a dislike (and no issue for me as I speak French) but just be aware to not expect all staff to speak German, Dutch or English in addition to French.
The location in the Hautes Fagnes is an area of natural beauty, cooler than Brussels (nice on a hot summer day) and close to the highest point in Belgium. The hotel has professional staff. The wellness center is nice if not so big: indoor pool, nice places to lay outside, outdoor hot tub, two saunas outside; one sauna, one hammam, and one hot tub inside. It is good for a 3-hour session. The room had a sitting room in addition to the bedroom, which gave it a spacious feel. The breakfast has various options and is nice space and you can even take your coffee outside with standing tables. The hotel offers a lot of massages and other wellness activities. There are even alpacas available for taking a hike and other activities. It was nice to see that the hotel has moved to be sustainable with a solar PV facility.

NetherlandsBeforehand i made a reservation through email and got now confirmation so i called the hotel. Receptionist was rude and told me i did something wrong when i did exactly what the instructions said in the booking.com chat. I wanted to stay for one night with breakfast and spa included for my birthday. Nobody congratulated me. It was in my reservation because I traveled alone it would have been a nice gesture to at least acknowledge my birthday. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant too food tasted great but portions where really small they kept giving everyone extra bread probably because of this haha. For a 4 star hotel the restaurant is not 4 star worthy as a former waitress. No offence i had a nice time but it’s just not at that level.
The location is amazing.

NetherlandsChoice of food for dinner at the brasserie, it took quite some time for the food to arrive.
I am biased, as we got an upgrade and we really were in love with the room. But overall the whole hotel is brand new and modern, with a “in the woods” touch which relates to the nice surroundings and location in the Ardennes. Also the brewery nearby and the fact that we could have a spa in the hotel was great.

PolandIt was not clear before that even for using swimming pool only you have to say the full spa usage price of 30euros and it’s not even free for kids. Similarly for hiring bathrobes there is a high charge. (At least that should be free if one is using the spa!)
The property is clean and is a great spa resort for relaxing. Close to the spa there are a lot of walking routes

Netherlands*The room is really available from 3 pm *We were there for 5 nights and used the sauna 4 times, there was always 1 facility not working, either one of the jacuzzi outside or the jacuzzi inside *The bed is on a hard side and the pillows were bad, soft and small *Everything is written/ set in French (restaurant/ brasserie menu, tv menu, massage offering. So if you don't speak French, I recommend using the Google translate camera *The prices of the massage offerings are extremely high
*We arrived at 2 pm and could check in immediately *Perfect location to start the hikes with our dog *The sauna offering is good, inside and outside *Beautiful Ardennes view around the hotel, you can hear the birds singing the whole day *Great location to do some city trips in Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg (Liège, Cologne, Clervaux)

LuxembourgThe spa area was fine, but nothing special. The jacuzzis were tiny, only 2 people could fit and would be occupied constantly and during long durations by the same people. The quiet spaces aren’t very comfortable either.

BelgiumThe service at the Braserie restaurant was extremely bad, it is obvious that those who worked there were without much experience, after we ordered food and drinks, we did not receive anything in a logical order, the drinks we had to remind them to bring them, the dessert was also ordered, it was not brought even after 20 minutes, we decided to leave, the dessert was already listed on the receipt. The first night, the taste of the sauce that was brought with the meat tasted fermented, the second night the sauce was totally different which confirms to me that the sauce from the first night was fermented. It's a pity because 2 years ago I was very satisfied with the service and had nothing but praise for this hotel.
The hotel is located in a beautiful area. The hotel is nicely renovated . The rooms are comfortable .
