Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe staff was not very hospitable. The place was recommended to us and the owner was supposed to be a welcoming and talkative host, but the women that received us appeared unable to speak Dutch, French or English. So communication was very difficult and limited. There seemed to be no interest whatsoever in the guests. Also they were nowhere to be found whenever we got in or went out. So it was very quiet and didn't feel very hospitable. Really a pity, because the venue itself is really great. It was really the host that put us off.
The room and the location of the hotel were great

NetherlandsThis was our second stay at Diamonds and Pearls. It is a very special hotel, located in the old center of Antwerp. It feels like entering into a secret world when you get there. We very rarely saw any staff- only at check in and check out but did not miss it. It was like our own hideaway in Antwerp. The rooms are decorated with antiques giving the hotel a sense of elegance. This is not a hotel for people with mobility issues. The stairs are narrow and steep. This is also not a hotel for customers who want everything to be perfectly manicured. This is a hotel for people who want something unique and special.

Austriait is a sweat little Boutiquehotel. The location is phänomenal. We had the Cottage on like 3 floors. The cottage for our opinion would need to be renovated than it would be a gem. If you have four people, the elderly should definately stay downstairs. The staircase is interesting. Cute little garden. Who loves antique furniture would not be dissapointed.

United StatesNot ideal for older people, the stairs are very very narrow, if you have a luggage you have to lift it yourself on those very narrow steps, no elevator and the staff dont help, we have 3 luggage's it took us more than 15 minutes to take it upstairs. No recommended for older people. The room was nice but the bed sheets were old, almost translucent for the use and with a big urine spot, definitely not clean, I slept on the other side of the bed. The only good thing is the location but there are many options in the same area with better and modern amenities.I don't recommend it at all.

AustraliaThe room was very pleasant and comfortable but ahem, a ridiculously tiny room for the toilet that barely fit an average sized woman.i don’t know how a larger person would manage. 😳 No lift, tight timber staircase a bit tricky with suitcase.
The location was great, very close to the cathedral and Grotte Markt and many restaurants. Room was nicely fitted out in old traditional, style with a nice deck.

United StatesTiny entry room (with bed) at bottom floor, shower and toilet on 2nd floor, decent size bedroom on 3rd floor. No closets or dressers, "lived" out of suitcases on the floor. Age or health of guests should be considered for that particular room (Cottage). There were others that seemed "easier" to stay in (assuming they had closets/drawers etc
Excellent location. Helpful host, especially with parking needs. Good breakfast Fortunately we are still relatively young and healthy but an older couple or with physical limitation would have great difficulty up and down 3 floors with spiral staircase, especially with luggage. I say this because it is the second time it has happened in Italy over the last tow years and in 10-12 more years I'm not sure we could manage that, or anyone younger with physical problems like bad knee/hip, etc. But the property was lovely as was it's location to great sites, restaurants, bars etc.

United StatesVery steep steps and we were at the top so it was a difficult climb with suitcases. The room was furnished with antique furntiture yet the carpet also seemed antique (dirty) shag . T he blow dryer was a hose on wall and broken. The room didn't seem as clean as it could be and the air was a bit warmer than we like. Staff is non-existent until breakfast- we had to have a neighboring business help to get us . It is hard to locate.
Good location but hard to locate . No parking yet garage right around the corner to pay and park. Nice breakfast yet not included in bill . Great decor

MalaysiaThe stairs were very narrow and steep. This was fine for our family but it wasn't clear in the advert so might be a big issue for anyone with mobility issues. The shower was a bit leaky but ok.
Location was brilliant - very central to the old town but quiet also. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. I booked the wrong date by mistake and they were very helpful and sorted everything out for us. They allowed us to store our luggage for a few hours after checkout - this was very helpful

United StatesThe rooms were very small and the stairs to get to the rooms were even smaller. The stairwell and steps were tiny even for my small child. The garden was so full of plants that you can't really sit out there. While the room had a balcony, the view was someone else's house..so.. not somewhere to sit and enjoy.
The location to the walk platz was great.. the atmosphere inside was very antique and cool. It was decorated with lots of interesting things. The breakfast is typical of the region.

AustraliaSadly rooms require a very good upgrade with curtains and sliding door to Terrance sitting area broken. Seats on Terrance seats faulty and dangerous due to moisture damage. Great original early style stairs to levels, but extremely difficult to negotiate for 60yrs old with luggage for 4weeks in Europe.
Very central to main center and great breakfast. Pretty amazing decor in sitting room and bedrooms. All staff and owner very pleasant and helpful.
