Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumNo problem for us but we had a room on the second floor under the roof. If you have difficulties with staircases, you may wish to ask for a room downstairs.
The hotel is located just next to the Ravel which was very convenient for us as we were travelling by bike. Friendly welcome, modern room, cosy and tasty restaurant with terrace. Perfect for us! There is a dedicated and secured place for bikes against a small extra fee. The breakfast (extra cost) was a nice buffet with a varied offer of food.

United KingdomUnable to park at the hotel on our last evening as it was very busy as a restaurant and bar. Perhaps some space could be reserved for residents with cars as driving and walking round in the dark evening in the pouring rain wasn’t the best.
Very pleasant hotel with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast and dinner very good.

BelgiumThe owner was quite unfriendly when we tried to check in. We also ate at the brasserie, which was very poorly managed in terms of staff and service - both of these led to an unpleasant feeling around the stay. We had to pay 3 euros each to store our bikes, which seems a bit rich for a hotel trying to market itself as bike-friendly (and isn't mentioned at any point when booking).
The location of this hotel was perfect - right next to the RAVeL, so perfect for our bike trip. The room itself was clean and a good size, and breakfast was also nice and had everything we would expect.

AustraliaThe owner and bar staff were repeatedly rude and dismissive, we both felt very unwelcome, the owner made a rude joke to other customers about us: “English speaking with a Dutch accent” and every subsequent interaction with him was difficult.
Recently renovated with comfortable beds and secure bike storage. The property also has a shady terrace and a bistro.

United KingdomThe hotel was very noisy at night, sadly we didn't get a wink of sleep the whole time we stayed. This was due to other residents making loud noises in the corridors as well as music playing loudly down in the bar.

LuxembourgThe basic and good breakfast was overpriced for the offer. We missed some true muesli, not only corn-flakes. A fresh prepared fruit salad was missing. A reflecting could be made by offering a more ecological and sustained breakfast, for example by not using plastic containers for butter and marmelade and offering organic products. A coffeemachine preparing different sortes fresh bean-coffee was not installed in the breakfast room.
Excellent location on the RAVeL cycling route. A well arranged room and a secure parking for the bikes. The bistronomic dinner was a dream!

BelgiumI did not feel welcome at all (grumpy person at reception both at check-in and check-out, I had to immediately say when we were going to have dinner and when to have breakfast. That I wanted some time to discuss this with my partner who was waiting outside with the bikes, was not to his liking). A bit of friendliness would have made a big difference in an otherwise pretty ok hotel. We stayed in several bicycle-friendly hotels and in all of them we could store the bikes with no extra charges. Here it cost 3 euros per bike per night. It's of course affordable but it's a bit strange for a 'bike-friendly' hotel.
The room was big. It was close to the Vennbahn.

United StatesIt was very hot without a/c or a fan. There is no coffee in the room. The worst is the noise from the patrons in the brasserie below. They are very loud, sound drunk, and making a LOT of noise both inside and out on the street below our room. The hotel should take control in a way to care for their guests above esp after midnight. Could not sleep.
The room was nice w a good bed and nice bathroom. Nice small town with a few restaurants.

IrelandThere was nothing not to like about this hotel.
Great Hotel, restaurant and bar was excellent . The owner Gerard or Gerty is on site all the time, early morning to late night and looks after your every need. Rooms were fantastic and all modern. Could not fault anything with this hotel. We were there for the Belgium Gan prix and were shuttled in and out by Gerty each day which made for one of the best places we have ever stayed for a Gran Prix. We will be back to stay here again.
