Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The property was a beautiful building and although near to the market square it was quite and peaceful. Everything about our stay was superb. The staff were extremely hospitable and every little detail thought about. The room was spotless and beautifully renovated. The bed was extremely comfortable with lovely bedding. The property even supplied towels for the pool. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. We would recommend to friends and will definitely return.

United KingdomHonestly, nothing at all.
Perfect for us travelling with friends as we had the communal space in the dining room and in the garden to meet up. We booked 3 out of the 4 rooms so had the place to ourselves. We were happy for our teens to come and go to their rooms which we would not have done in a big city hotel. We saw guests arriving for the wellness retreat at the end of the garden, they have their own private section so we would not have known they were there otherwise. The owners were helpful with advice and checking we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The property itself is gorgeous as is the garden and the pool that we used several times. The neighbourhood is very quiet and a short stroll of about 10 minutes to the main centre of Bruges. All of the rooms were very generously proportioned and beautifully designed. The beds were big and comfortable. Bathrooms fitted with big shower and lovely natural products. We used the A/C and the shutters to keep the room cool and dark at night which was perfect. We had the belfry room at the top of the house and had such a lovely view from the balcony. The breakfast was just what we wanted and all fresh and healthy: yogurt, fruit, homemade granola, bread, eggs and pancakes. Freshly squeezed juice and posh coffee. We thought that it was very reasonable given it included breakfast and the use of the garden and pool. If you book, you won't be disappointed.

United KingdomCaroline & Gert were the most hospitable hosts. Everything was perfect, from the ease of check in to the delicious breakfast each day. However, I would suggest contacting the property directly should you wish to avail of the wellness spa. As it’s super popular the allocated time slots get booked up quickly and I’d highly recommend booking one of these, it’s truly amazing 🤩

United KingdomCaroline and Gert made our stay in Bruges effortless; it felt like we had the warmth of a home, but the privacy of a boutique hotel. The room istelf was furnished and set-up to a 5* hotel standard and the views across Bruges were stunning. The B'Guest location is perfect, in that it's quiet, yet you can walk to the Market Square within 10 minutes and the many beautiful bridges and small lanes are around every corner. The Breakfast is delicious and caters for all needs, Caroline even makes her own bread - it was pretty special and lovely to meet some of the other guests over a cup of coffee too. One of the highlights for us, was the wellbeing area at the bottom of the garden; we had it to ourselves for the full 3hrs and were able to enjoy the sauna, hot tub, open fire and steam room, followed by a plunge in the pool! Caroline and Gert's B'Guest experience far exceeded our expectations and honestly, it was difficult to leave!

Everything From the moment we arrived until the minute we left everything was superb. A friendly welcome from Caroline with a hot drink and chat about where to eat, places to visit and areas of interest. The two rooms we had were like our own suite with a corridor door adding to our own private space so no need to fully close our doors to be close to our family. Breakfast was freshly prepared and ample. The garden was well kept and the two resident cats friendly. A great base to enjoy Bruges and surrounding area. A perfect stay.

We had an amazing trip to Bruge which was made even more enjoyable by our amazing stay at B Guest bed and breakfast. The property is modern, classy and immaculately clean throughout. Our room had a boutique feel with everything we needed and even had Netflix to use. Caroline was an amazing host, tentative, warm and very welcoming, she gave us many recommendations for places to visit. The breakfasts are a must, freshly prepared and plenty of variety. When we return we will 100% be re- booking at B Guest, it is an absolute gem within Bruge! Could not recommend anymore!!!
