A beautiful, comfortable,compact little house with everything required for one to self cater

The greatest place we have ever stayed in and we travel quite a lot. It is basically an entire home with its own garden. Well-equipped is understatement. The apartment was spacious and really comfortable. We wanted to visit the nearby city of Mons but when we saw how incredible the apartment is, we decided to stay the evening in the garden. The host was also very helpful. He gave us recommendation as to how to travel in the neighbourhood. What is more, the location is really good. It's really close to Brussels. In the neighbourhood there is canal across which you can ride your bike.

The driveway is a bit steep (the host warns about this in advance) which was slightly inconvenient as I have slight mobility issues, but not a problem; just to be forewarned.

Free parking and directly off the motorway, although it is some distance from Mons itself. We needed to be at SHAPE HQ early the next morning and it was less than 10 minutes drive. Unfortunately the weather was heavy rain during the evening, otherwise we could have enjoyed the beautiful and extensive garden. The host, knowing we were English speaking, pre-arranged for the TV to show the UK TV channels - much appreciated. Spacious, tastefully decorated, large bathroom and good kitchen/diner. Very quiet location despite being close to a large industrial site (cement processing works).

Huge and very beautiful house with high standard furniture and utilities. The back yard is amazing. We could not expect better than this. I wish we could stay longer but for sure will come back. Excellent value for money. I highly recomand this house.

There's absolutely nothing to fault here. The 'little house' is bigger and better equipped than I'd have expected and really has everything you could want for a stay. The location is a curious one but suited me ideally being less than 15 minutes drive from the three things I wanted to see here - Silex's, Strepy-Theux boat lift and the city of Mons. Parking was easy (but read the instructions and don't use the sloping driveway). The whole process is done online so you get the key from a key safe without meeting the owner (hence I find it hard to 'rate' the host) but instructions are clear and communication was very regular with several WhatsApp messages to check that everything was OK. All in all an excellent choice for anyone driving around this area.

Nothing really. Everything was perfect

We liked everything! Probably, one of the best places we stayed in. Very spacious, comfortable and nice. Everything is thought of. There are many extra small things in the apartment, which were not expected and required, but which made our stay much more pleasant.

The house is amazing. I have never seen a Booking property so well and thoughtfully equipped. The location is perfect if you have rented a vehicle. We personally loved the Mons area, but also managed to visit Brugge, Brussels and Charleroi. A 10 out of 10 and an examplary hospitality experience. The host was extremely kind.

Spacious house with a beautiful terace and garden outside, it was equipped with everything I would have wanted (fridge, stove, oven, coffe maker, microwave, washing machine, etc) It is a one bedroom house with a confy living room and a dining area, open space kitchen, and a little space for work (desk and chair in a separate room). I stayed for work one month in January, it was a very good time, but the weather was not so good to enjoy the terrace and the garden. Maybe next time! The owner was great and helpful in providing everything I needed.

Little bit hard to understand how the lock on the door worked, but very minor inconvenience compared to the benefits of the property. The trick is to lift the handle as you turn the key. Still easily rate the property 10/10. Highly recommend if you have access to a car.

Very nice property, about 5-10 minute drive out from Mons. Incredible value for money. Lots of attention to detail with facilities and the host. E.g. the host changed the TV to English for us before we arrived. There were spare adapters available (which we used during our stay because our checked baggage was lost at the airport). There were even spare toiletries in case you forgot them (we didn’t need to as luckily had it in our toiletries with us.) Fully functioning kitchen, lots of space for us. Shower heat and pressure good. The host was very attentive, communicated clearly in English for us.

Beautiful little house with lots of attention to detail. Spotless and compfy, with much thought having gone into making it feel like your home away from home. There is a deck and yard, which I gladly made use of. Would definitely recommend!

Everything was fine.

Lovely spacious cottage. Parking right outside on very quiet road. Host very helpful and friendly. There was everything we needed. All room spacious and comfortable. A bath and a stand alone shower. Lovely garden and patio. Set in very quiet neighbourhood away from hussle and bussle.

We were met by our jovial host, chatty, host who showed us around and indicated our parking space, just off the road and a couple of yards from the front door. The apartment itself was warm and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. Outside, at the back, was a lovely garden with an apple tree and decking with table and chairs and sun loungers. The village was about 500 metres away and had two bars and an unusual chateau with a moat with birds to spot. In the daytime you can go into the courtyard (no entrance fee) where there are information panels about the buildings in three languages- English, French and German. Definitely a nice and interesting place for a stopover or a relaxing weekend.

I made the mistake of parking in the driveway, not knowing it was possible to park on the gravel in front of the property Was difficult to get out, so would advise car users not to make the same mistake!

Great location near to main roads, extremely helpful and friendly owner. The property is tastefully and practically equipped, with everything needed for a fuss free and relaxing stay after a long few days travelling.
