Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

There was nothing to dislike about the property
The 3 bedroom apartment was well presented and accommodated 7 mature women travelling together. The kitchen facilities were fantastic for managing breakfast and snacks. We didn’t cook any meals but it had the capacity if required.

Wonderful friendly welcome and shown to our apartment which was wonderful and suited the 6 of us so well. The Location was 5 minutes from the main square, perfect location for restaurants, bars, shops, walks and tourist attractions. We would definitely recommend and will return.

Would be nice to have a second bathroom between all 3 bedrooms. But the bathroom was very spacious so it worked out fine.

Room configuration is not really as depicted on site. We were expecting a common living room and kitchen to be shared by all bedrooms. Instead, the kitchen and living room are attached to one bedroom. Other guests need to walk through that bedroom to access the kitchen/ living area. Not good for guests who want some privacy. Pillows are square and have many lumps. Not very comfortable.

It didn't bother us, but if you are a light sleeper you might want to stay in a room away from the road.
Staff were excellent and professional, the location was fantastic and the apartment was clean and beautiful. we will book again when we next come to Brugge.

Nothing! It was perfect!
The property was part of a hotel, so check in was easy. It is very close to everything you want to do and see, but a nice quiet area.

The square pillows! All three of us thought they were uncomfortable and compromised a restful night of sleep. They were too puffy and oddly shaped, we all ended up with stiff necks!
The excellent location to your wonderful, walkable city! Ideal proximity yet also quiet with a “tucked away” feeling. Lovely accommodations and superb staff!

Spacious, well-equipped rooms with very comfortable beds and facilities. The location was incredible, being less than a 5-minute walk to the centre of Bruges. The staff were friendly and helpful.

From the train station, only bus no 2 goes to the hotel.
My family and I had a wonderful stay. Traveling with a child under 2 years old can be challenging, but this place made it incredibly easy and comfortable.From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive and accommodating. The location was also ideal, it is located at the centre of the city. It is closed to the all tourist attractions.

We were staying on the top floor and the windows open inward so we couldn't open them with our kids about but there is aircon in the rooms.
Location is perfect for exploring all sights in Bruges. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly from reception to housekeeping. If travelling by public transport it's a short taxi ride from the station.

Very little. The kitchen area is in one side of the two adjoining apartments but it's not a big problem really.
The location was amazing! Just a few minutes walk from the central square and all the attractions, shops, bars, everything! There's even an amazing, vaulted bar just two doors down for that first drink!
