How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Minor thing: no elevator, but didn't really bother us.
Super nice and friendly host. Ideally located for exploring Reinhardstein, Hautes Fagnes, and more - walking distance for the lake that's great for swimming and family fun. Spacious room (we stayed at the suite with balcony) equipped with 2 small kitchens. Ideal for travelling with family. We really enjoyed the green area next to the hotel - our kids enjoyed just running around. Good breakfast that you could also take away for a picnic. I would definitely choose this hotel next time we stay in that area.

Breakfast options are very limited (no fruits, only meat + cheese)
It’s near Malmedy (15 minute drive), rooms are fitted with the minimum commodities but clean and comfortable

Not that clean but still ok Not much in the area, we stayed for a race which was close by but you will need to drive out for anything
Facilities are reasonably good and room was bigger than I thought Fresh bread for breakfast was really good

Located in the heart of National Park, parking for free, kind staff, large apartment, 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms, 2 TVs, really close to the lake and Belgium highest hill, awesome breakfast...

As the hotel is in a small countryside village, a car is needed to move around. Very few restaurants nearby, may be full and no shops or supermarket. Slightly dated family hotel with no lift. Wifi connection not stable or absent. Non-darkening curtains in the room. Duvet size is for a single person: its width is short. The bathroom lacks hooks and support space.
Quite environment (the hotel is in a small countryside village, with balcons overseeing a green lawn and a meadow behind). Spatious room with small table, small living room and tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast is good (it includes an orange juice, American coffee, 2 small breads served with butter, fruit jelly, ham and cheese, 2 pastries (croissant and chocolate couque).

We were by bike and were allowed to take it with us in the room, which is really confi. The beds are great as well as the balcony with its view. The next morning we got a good and big breakfast that lasted for a new day of biking. The service is really nice, thumps up!!!

Breakfast was good. You could ask for what you needed. There was cheese, ham, croissant, jam, butter, bread and so on. It could have been good if he propose turkey or chicken beside the ham or instead of it.

Pink color on the walls screams for a repaint.
We could lock our bikes inside over night. Friendly personal. Breakfast included.

The accommodation really needs some maintenance. Inside the rooms were ok but the general appearance is run down, the outside, the walk to the reception and the reception itself is really messy.
The location of the accommodation is great for activities around the area and there is good space for parking your car.

The owner was really nice. He speaks only French, but is a confident Google Translate user. We were able to check-in early. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. Smart TV in the room, so we could Netflix after we were done with biking&hiking
