Highly recommended. Kemal and Ismeta are some of the kindest and most hospitable hosts we've ever met. They are also excellent cooks, so be sure to ask about the breakfast option. This was our first visit, but we can see why they have so many returning guests. The accommodations are right next to the river Una and provide plenty of opportunities to cool off and relax during the hot summer. A special highlight are the two dogs on the premises - one of them will walk with you around town and its surroundings, and he’s something of a local mascot, known by everyone. Ana & Dragan

The place on the river with good location, clean and hot shower. The family were great with nice smile welcomed us with fresh beverage and fruits from their garden, they made me feel like we are visiting our relatives or parents from home

The hosts were so welcoming and kind it was hard to say goodbye. The house is in a perfect location, next to an amazing river. It was the perfect place for an escape from city and busy life and to get some fresh air and perfect rest. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Nothing, it was absolutely amazing.

Beautiful location, large room and comfortable bed, very clean. This alone was more than enough but the real selling point is the amazing hospitality offered by Ismeta and Kamal. I don't think I have ever met sweeter people than these wonderful souls. You feel like their children rather than their guests! They make a great breakfast too! We left this place with a lot of pain in our hearts...

Excellent accomodation at the heart of Kulen Vakuf. The area is outstanding (walk up to Ostrovice for an amazing view). Our hosts were extremely welcoming, bringing us food and drinks so we felt very welcome and at home here. Can't recommend enough.

Nothing - everything was great. No issues. We had no communication issues as wife speaks the language.

Loved our stay at Domaćinstvo Una-Ostrovica. The owners are absolutely wonderful and so welcoming. Our room was comfortable with a big bathroom. The WiFi was great and the small kitchen had everything needed. The breakfast was tasty - eggs, fruit, cheese, bread. The location right on the river was beautiful - nice views of the castle from the back yard. Overall a great relaxing stay with charming people.

Everything. This was our favourite stay in Bosnia so far, just absolute perfection. The hosts could not have been any better, we've never felt more welcomed and taken care of. Absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to stay for the night and came away smiling and feeling refreshed. Our sleep was the best so far, peaceful and quiet. The food was incredible and we enjoyed every mouthful. If you're reading this review because you are trying to decide where to stay, then stop. Very nice experience, the apartment is situated in calm place right next to the river Una, we were kindly welcomed and felt like home, do not miss the oportunity to have a breakfast, it was delicious - we got eggs, cevapi, bread, home-made rose lemonade and cake. You can access the river and take a swim, it is refreshing.

All was perfect!

We were so welcomed by Ismeta and Kemal who are the kindest and most generous of hosts. We so enjoyed their company - despite the language barrier - and their garden is delightful. It was hard to tear ourselves away from lounging in the hammocks next to the very beautiful river and go sightseeing. However Kalen Vakuf is an excellent base for exploring the delights of the Una National Park. Our apartment was great and the bed was very comfortable. Our labrador Tessy was made a great fuss of and Bill, the resident dog, is so friendly. If you are not doggy people please don't worry as your hosts will be very sensitive to ensuring your comfort. Breakfast was excellent and maybe you will be lucky and Kemal will be bbquing in the evening. These lovely people and their hospitality will be in our hearts for a very long time and we do hope that we will be able to return. Thank you for creating such very special memories.
