Although there were a couple of tables with adjacent convenient power points in the lobby to allow patrons to conduct their work, it may have been nice if another area was also available since when I was there, these two tables were occupied and I ended up juggling my work on my lap and adjacent coffee table.

Wonderful hotel with great service conveniently located near Southern Cross Station and at a reasonable cost.

Two negative comments are that the pillows were flat, and the room was cold, an issue with the heating. They did bring us a small electric fan heater, which I must say was better than nothing.

We loved the location, really not that far to walk within the city. The room was clean, and the decor was pleasant. The hotel also serves a great breakfast.

I object as a senior being asked to pay what I can only describe as a “good behaviour” deposit despite the hotel already holding my credit card details. The deposit still hasn’t been refunded two weeks later!!!! IS THIS A SCAM????

Convenient to both bus from airport and the Southern Cross station.

The air-conditioning was noisy on our last night, but otherwise, it was good.

The buffet breakfast was wonderful & the location we could get on the tram & train straight out the front.

A second chair in the room would be great for a couple.

The bed was comfy on the quiet east side of the building. The perfect location for travelling in from the country on train. We have stayed several times & will return.

They were having problems with the air con, which they warned me about at check in and offered to bring up a heater. In fact the room was at a comfortable 19.5 degrees so I wasn’t worried, but once I went to bed the air con shot out an unexpected arctic blast every twenty minutes or so. I ended up putting a jumper over my pyjamas and sleeping well from then on.

The Savoy is, as it’s name suggest, quite impressive. Lots of marble and chandeliers - definitely stay if you want to impress someone! It has a bar that serves a variety of meals, quite expensive but again good if you are trying to impress. Proximity to Southern Cross Station and the SkyBus is convenient, and the main shopping area is a short tram ride away. The room itself felt small but very comfortable and clean and quite a luxurious feel (king bed, big tv, big bathroom) without being fussy. Breakfast was a typical hotel buffet but plenty of variety of hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit, bread and pastries.

Breakfast food was cold ....not sure if the bain Marie's were working...plates are cold so that didn't help. Room was smaller than I would have liked. Air conditioning was freezing and difficult to control. Window ledge was dirty with something smeared on it soI cleaned it.

Very nice staff. Very attentive and responsive. Great location . Shower was great! Bed very comfortable.
