My room was not great, old and grubby. There were ants I. The kitchen and bathroom and had the feel is a 2 star motel. I left a day early as I was not comfortable there for the price I paid. The hotel has partially refunded me for that night.

The public areas were really good and the location great. The staff were easy to deal with and helpful.

Room was a bit dated, shower curtain next to the toilet was weird. Drain in the bathroom smelled after using water or flushing the toilet. No extractor fan in the bathroom. Weird window between bedroom and bathroom. Not a real door on the bathroom to stop smells. Just needs a bit of tlc/reno.

Great pool, near the beach, pretty lake, restaurant was great, breakfast was really nice, staff were friendly. Kangaroos!

We had plenty of cash and couldn’t use it there as they only use credit cards. All the time we used the card to buy drinks and food we got charged card fees and it does add up after using the card about 12 times

It was a quite place with a lot of wild life

Check in was very slow (line ups) and room not available at 2pm. Maintenance of facilities. Closed jetty to river and jetty at watersports area...gave a run-down feel.

Check-in says from 2pm but our room wasn’t ready until 4pm so we had to wait around for ages with 2 kids, and my husband missed an important meeting. When we got to our room, the sofa bed for the kids wasn’t made up (there were no pillows or blankets). Parking is quite far from the rooms so it’s not great for families with lots of baggage to carry - no lifts to upstairs rooms either. Staff were quite grumpy and disengaged. Rooms very old and uncomfortable. Ancient beds, cobwebs in corners, old bathrooms. It’s a rugby camp and conference facility, so expect 50 teenage boys to be jumping in the pool and being rowdy. Not a family or couples resort at all! We waited nearly an hour for kids meals at the restaurant. Overall it was very overpriced for an old hotel with poor service! Would stay somewhere else next time.

Great facilities - kayaks, sailing boats, mini golf. Lovely breakfast buffet with lots of options. Beautiful lagoon location with garages and kangaroos hopping around. Loved the birds and wildlife. Just a 10-min walk through the gardens to the beach.

After a flight delay and cancellation we were left to find accommodation at 9pm. This hotel was very helpful and accommodating, even able to find interconnecting rooms to ensure our party of 4 remained together. Beautiful grounds, well maintained. Well equipped gym, big pool, lots of activities for the kids.

The hot section of the breakfast was not hot. We were one of the first in every morning as our conference had an early start. You would think the bacon and eggs etc would have been hot to start. After 2 days of cold breakfast we moved onto the omlettes and they were great, and so was the rest of the buffet, it was just the hot section that was disappointing. However the price for breakfast you pay you expect the whole buffet to be perfect.

The room was great. The facilities were also very good. The property is beautiful and we have stayed here for events many times and we will be back in late November.

The room was unclean - i long strand of ladies dark hair in the bathroom, plus dust on the toilet roll holder and mould in the shower. The light switches were also confusing. I could not turn on the bathroom light without the main light on.

Unfortunately the mattress was not smooth to sleep on, though comfortable. The position of room numbers made it almost impossible to find my room as it was upstairs and away from the carparks. Because the numbers are tucked away on the doors rather than the walls beside the doors, means they are out of sight from pathways as you walk around checking the map. In each block the downstairs rooms and upstairs rooms don’t relate to each other or necessarily the next block either. Carparks are not numbered (either at their entrances nor on your map, nor connected to room group names) so you are never sure where your car is on return, especially in the dark. The second last carpark only says Conference Centre yet it leads to rooms. The signage is more visible when you leave your rooms rather than from the carpark and because of all of the “grey” bush colours it’s so hard to find signage and read it. The very basic need to find where you are going is very important and should be assessed and improved for guests. I had not stayed here before and as I was in and out visiting a sick friend, I was coming back to carparks and my room sometimes in the dark. Nothing was easily identifiable due to the bush and I was regularly feeling hopeless. In 3 days I left and returned to your resort 6 times. It was such a shame, as I won’t return. Please look at this. Guests don’t just go from their room to restaurants and to the pool. I’m sorry if this comment sounds convoluted, but it’s hard to express my sense of distress caused by something very basic to my stay. Thank you for taking the time to read this. It is very fixable. Regards Margot Lansdown.

The room was lovely and clean with a pretty view.
