Very nice stay. Friendly staff. Clean. Close to city centre. All facilities available. Value for price.

Gorgeous oasis in the middle of cairns. So many places to chill and cook. A lot of love has clearly gone into the hostel which is appreciated.

The 4 bed room got very hot and smelly. It seemed like most people at the hostel were remote workers or working for accomodation and with no evening communal activities it felt quite isolating and non sociable

Clean kitchens and rooms, very comfortable and lovely staff, good laundry facilities and loads of lovely social areas. Parking outside. Easy to get a good nights sleep.

There was very very few bathrooms and toilets (1 toilet and 2 showers for a whole block of dorms) which meant you were often waiting to use them in the evening and morning especially. Not the most social atmosphere. Need to pay for A/C which I didn’t experience anywhere else in Australia

I didn’t know there was a breakfast but we absolutely loved the place even though it was only a one night stay. Will definitely come back.

It’s very neat, clean and tidy, Staff were friendly and efficient.

I forgot to bring my towels to the desk at the end, so I felt like a bad guest at the end.

It is close to the central train station and cairns shopping center. The kitchen is well equipped. BTW, I like the decoration.

As a solo older female traveler with little experience staying at hostels, I have to say that I felt this one to be exceptional. The staff was friendly &helpful. The bathrooms & kitchens were clean, although I must say that I did not have the opportunity to use any of the kitchen facilities as I was out most of the time. I had my own single room with shared bath, but in my case, the bathroom was right near my room & I did not have a problem usingthe restroom a couple of times during the night. There were adequate toilet facilities & showers for the number of guests. My room happened to have it's own small refrigerator which I much appreciated as I was able to store bottles of water without having to write my name on them &find a place in the kitchen refrigerator. The room had an overhead fan. Not sure if it had an air conditioner, but I did not need one. The weather was mild during my stay. I can't say what it would be like during the rainier, wetter part of the year because I do not know if space heaters are provided or allowed. The bed was comfortable enough. The sheets were clean. Only one comforter cover was provided, which was fine for when I was there. There was a lockable safe under the bed to store valuables & pegs on the wall to hang clothes. There were washers &dryers; drying racks &drying lines. I did use the washer & dryer. They were about $5 each per load. There are several covered eating &lounging areas &a small pool to float in. The other travelers that I met briefly seemed nice enough. Everyone was very polite. Quiet hours start at 10 PM which I greatly appreciated. There is a grocery store nearby. It is about a mile walk to the Reef Terminal & the sites to see in downtown Cairns. I had one heavy bag & my room was upstairs. One of the staff helped me up with it which was very kind.

I was there during a time when there was some rain and I did get wet. I got chilled coming back from snorkeling. Luckily, I was able to take a warm shower and get dry and the weather was warm enough. I do not know how it would have been a month or two earlier when there would have been more rain and some lower temperaturs. It seem to me that the buildings were quite open to the outside, so I would suggest consulting with someone who wass there during a cooler period of time to see if htey provide short term space heaters for rooms or bathrooms. I did not know that my room would be upstairs. Had the staff not been so helpful, I would have had to unpack part of my suitcase downstairs, take it up to the room, then go back down to get the rest. Since the staircase was outside, this might have been a problem if it had been raining. Please note that I have very little experience staying in hostels. I have only stayed in them when I could get my own room and have never stayed in a dormitory situation - not in 55 years anyway - so readers should take that into consideration when reading my review.

The staff were super friendly and helpful in booking the Great Barrier Reef and Kuranda tour. I was in a shared room with 3 beds. The room was as described and clean. The bathrooms were also clean and there are multiple so it's not a big problem to share. Amazing outdoor Shower. Easy check-out if you leave early to take a flight.

What a top find! So clean, organised & great attention to detail.

The hostel has a really calm vibe with all of the plants and outdoor areas. The rooms, bathrooms and kitchens are all spotlessly clean and the laundry facilities are good. I didn’t go in the pool, however it looked very clean. This has definitely been my favourite hostel by far!

The mosquitoes are pretty extreme here, just make sure to bring a good bug spray as my legs are pretty bitten. I think the hostel also have some sprays but it’s just better to bring your own.

Spotless, homely, and well set up site. Well appointed kitchens.

There is nothing I did not like, other than it would be nice to have a reading light at/above near each bed, so mail light coild stay off as not to bother other guests.
