I was in the budget double room so this isn’t a huge complaint but room was pretty small (again was the budget room) and the only window was in the ensuite which left the actual room quite dark.

Staff were amazing very nice and friendly, the attached restaurant had really great food.

My first room had noise from the bar downstairs and my second room had loud music, sometimes, from (I think) the staff working in the kitchen. The staff did their best to mitigate the noise, but I did not enjoy having to mention noise twice. It was nice and quiet between 9pm and 7.30am and so probably perfect accommodation for an early bird (which I am not!). The tap in the bathroom was very high and it was difficult to stop water splashing everywhere. Also the hot water took ages to come through and I felt as if I was wasting water just to be able to wash in warm water.

Lovely location with a view of the river. The bus stop is very close to the pub. The staff are very helpful and also friendly. I saw a platypus in Geeveston which is close to Port Huon. Continental breakfast in a warm lounge, served by a very friendly lady. I recommend staying at this pub if you are passing through the area.

My room was next to internal stairs which were a bit creaky. It’s an extremely old pub, so you’ve got to expect that though. Apart from the tiny bit of noise as other guests walked up or down, it was absolutely perfect.

Staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is sensational. Clean and lovely room.

The bed was pretty firm, I really didn't get much sleep. There was no window in our room other than a tiny one in the bathroom, which made the room feel very dark. Our room didn't have a fridge of any sort, so we didn't risk eating the yoghurt staff left for us at our door for breakfast. That all bring said, I would absolutely stay again, perhaps a different room next time!

Breakfast was good, fair selection of foods. The view from the lounge was a beautiful way to start the day! The room was tidy, and the staff were super friendly, helpful and just all round lovely! The hotel has a lovely warm feel, and the food was delish!

Very well maintained charming heritage hotel. Welcoming ambiance by friendly and professional staff. In July, we warmed up our evenings at the bar near the fireplace. It is tastefully decorated, and serves delicious food. Roomy guests' room upstairs that has beautiful views. (With access to fridge, microwave, kettle, etc.) Guests of the hotel get % off at the gym/sauna/pool facility across the road.

We really enjoyed our stay-but as a suggestion for improvement: the kitchen and utensils are a bit dated, but overall in decent conditions. The shower wasn't ideal, a bit a hard to regulate the temperature and not much pressure

The coffee and tea facilities in the upstairs lounge are a little bit neglected. Coffee plunger and capsule coffee machine are provided, though no coffee powder or capsules.

The staff is always very friendly and helpful. It is very nice to have the amazing view and sit in front of an open fireplace in one of the lounges. The breakfast buffet has all the right choices and plenty of it. We like staying in the hotel very much.
