Such an idyllic setting. Even though it’s only about 5km out of Margaret River, it feels like there’s no one else in the world (aside from your neighbours). The home itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean and so comfortable. We loved being able to roast marshmallows using the fire pit. The owner, Linda, was so communicative and helpful. We would stay at Tanah Marah again in a heartbeat.

Amazing place to stay if you want to get away from city life. Linda was so helpful before and during the stay. My son’s 13 year old and 10 year old enjoyed the stay so much. They played golf, tennis and rowed the boat; not to mention the memorable interaction with the lovely dogs. Property was clean and comfortable - would love to stay longer if we could!

Very peaceful and serene. The lake in front of the chalet makes for excellent viewing. The rooms were comfortable and complete. The animals (dogs, cows, birds) adds color to the stay. Perhaps can continue to innovate with animals (having kangaroos / sheeps closer to the compound).

We had the most wonderful stay at Tanah Marah — it truly felt like a hidden gem nestled right in the heart of nature. The property is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by greenery, peaceful walking trails, and open space that made for the perfect relaxing escape. Our hosts were fantastic — so welcoming and friendly! They took the time to show us around the property and made sure we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. A special mention to their lovely dogs, Annie and Panda, who were the sweetest companions. They happily tagged along with us on our walks around the property, making the experience even more memorable. There was so much to do — from wandering the beautiful grounds to enjoying the peaceful lakeside spots. But the absolute highlight for us was feeding the cows and sheep — such a simple joy but one that made our trip extra special. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to visit again soon. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway!

Perhaps a vacuum will be good for travellers to clean up their house since it gets dirty easily in the farm.

Great property and estate. Short walking circuits ideal for young kids and seniors. Two bedrooms with separate toilets provide added convenience. Well equipped kitchen. Awesome lakeview in the morning helps to set the day!

We liked everything! Location absolutely beautiful, the chalets were clean and spacious with a breathtaking view. All the little extras made a difference ... dressing gowns, some foodstuffs, toiletries, kitchenware etc. We met some of the owners/staff, all very nice people and happy to take time out of their day for a little chat.

Little slice of paradise set right in the middle of Margaret River and only 8 minutes from town. The property, birdlife, villas are all incredible. We can't wait to return.

The Tanah Marah property is a wonderful place to stay, very quiet and surrounded by nature and animals (birds, ducks, sheeps, kangaroos) only!! We were amazed by how beautiful the place is. The chalet and the facilities are modern, clean and well thought of with all the equipment needed for cooking and bbq. The rooms, the bathrooms, the living room are very spacious and well decorated with taste. Linda and Lucy were great hosts and got in touch in advance to share recommandations in the region and directions to get there. Our kids had a great time enjoying the space and nature. The view is amazing and the sunset on the lake was beautiful. Can only recommend this place and would be happy to go back!!!

Beautiful location. Very clean well designed, modern chalet. Kids had separate area with their own bathroom - Would be ideal for two couples as well. Boats in the lake for kids to play on, tennis court with equipment provided. Thoughtful extras provided (eg salt and pepper, olive oil. Vinegar, sunscreen, laundry detergent).

The property and our room exceeded expectations. The house is large enough, comfortable, and fully stocked. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and kindness received from the property owner from the day we arrived. We also got to experience boat paddling in a tranquil lake, quite an experience!

Everything about our stay was perfect. The chalets are comfy, views are excellent and Linda was very responsive and helpful. The place is also located very conveniently with Margaret River Town only 10mins away. I was visiting with my family and cant recommend the place enough. Some folks have commented about the access road not being very good. Frankly i dont see what the issue is as the road while not the best is very driveable.

There were a lot of insects (dead and alive) in the toilets. However, i suppose this is to be expected when you are living in the woods/forest.
