Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The garage entrance was from the rear lane which was a little difficult to find and access on arrival (and tight to enter and exit in a larger car!). The apartment should have had more crockery, cutlery and glassware for the number of people (occupies 6). Also needed supplies like paper towels etc for the kitchen. Otherwise a lovely place to stay.
We were upgraded to the level 3 penthouse, which was a lovely clean, modern and spacious apartment. The apartment occupies a whole floor of the building. The keyed lift opens to a private foyer and front door, so it is very safe and secure. Well located for visiting the city attractions, restaurants and pubs. Secure parking beneath.

If you want to be close to the main sections of Adelaide you are a bit far for walking all the time but close to the tram line for easy access and out of the busy city centre enough for the apartment to be quiet and homely.
Very spacious and felt like a home away from home.

The bathtub is a bit too small but overall everything was awesome!
It’s very clean very comfortable and everything you need from a holiday home are all in there! Facility is great with great location too! We stayed for 3 nights with mum n dad and we all enjoyed our stay very much!!

Loved the space and convenience of having our own designated parking spot. Handy to free public transport to the city centre and Glenelg. The main bedroom was amazing...loved the storage and bathroom. I broke my arm on Day 1 of our 9 night stay, so I appreciated feeling spoilt and the comfort of our unit.

The kitchen benches and fridge hadn’t been cleaned properly, and possibly the floors as well. The sandwich press still had leftover food in it. When we tried to clean things ourselves, there were no cleaning cloths available, and the tea towels provided were new and unabsorbent, with only two supplied. It was frustrating, especially after buying food, as we had to clean before storing it but lacked proper cleaning supplies. We received multiple messages prior to arrival, and although it seemed like an effort to keep us informed, it became overwhelming to sift through all the information to find the guides we needed for operating things. With limited internet on our phones, opening links and calling for help was tricky. There was no physical guide provided, which was frustrating. As we tried to figure things out ourselves, it took us a long time to enter the property, find the keys, locate the car space, and navigate the area. Unfortunately, this led to accidentally setting off the alarm, causing significant stress as we had no way of knowing the code. Additionally, we were asked to take the wheelie bins out and bring them back in the next day, which felt inappropriate considering we were paying for accommodation and expected basic tasks to be handled. While the reception staff were pleasant, the overall experience felt unprofessional and caused unnecessary stress. We were disappointed and likely won’t return or recommend this place unless these issues are addressed.
The spaciousness and multiple balconies, especially with the addition of a dining table for enjoying cheese, crackers, and wine, create an inviting atmosphere. The bedrooms are praised for their large beds and clean linens, enhancing comfort. Two kitchens with modern conveniences, such as a cappuccino machine and dishwasher, add convenience and luxury. The large dining area with internet connection is also a plus. The bathrooms, especially the ensuite with a large, modern shower head, offering a refreshing and luxurious shower experience.

The parking was a tad tight to get in & out esp with other cars parked next to you but given that we were in a 7 seater, it is expected.
A spacious, perfectly located, well lit and secure apartment that my family felt comfortable in. From pots & pans to toys & games for kids, this place had everything you would need to make it an enjoyable & relaxing stay.

On the last night, the neighbours on the 1st floor were rather loud. Bins needed to be labelled clearly so we know which ones to take out. We were not going to bring all the bins out.
It was clean, neat and the towels were of high quality. The tram station was 5 mins away and it was easy to get around Adelaide.

It was a little bit difficult to find and enter as we arrived quite late at night. Other than that, I couldn't really fault anything at SYLO. Everything else went well and I really enjoyed my stay there.
The beds were very comfortable and the place was very spacious. It was very clean and well-equipped (kitchen/laundry), particularly if you have a group wanting to cook at night. SYLO is in a great location, right in the city and included free parking which was very easy to access.

A few loose fittings here and there, which should have been picked up.
Great location and with secure parking, which can be unusual in the centre of the City. Three full sized bedrooms and great air conditioning when it was 39C outside!

I had to follow up for the check in email, but once I got on the phone it was easy from there.
The check in was easy. And the facilities were amazing and felt like a comfortable place.
