Very modern, well-designed rooms and fabulous mini bar selections, very comfy bed. 70's vibe but with style! The staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Lovely common areas, small bar area with long sofa and small fire. Outside seating areas and gardens a nice relaxing place to sit and have a drink or read a book. Sauna and Ice bath I didn't use but my friend did and loved. Didn't use the pool area as winter but would love to stay again when warmer. Just on the edge of town so perfect to walk to shops, restaurants and beach. Overall loved it!

AustraliaVery pricey. Understandably so, given the location, but still very high. Awning over reception entry is quite low, so we had to park off-site and scored a parking fine. Rooms are very close to the outdoor area and soundproofing isn’t perfect.

AustraliaWe look for practical offerings in our accommodation such as good hanging space for clothing, spacious bathrooms with good lighting and an area to sit outside of our room especially in a beachside location. Nowhere to dry wet swimwear. A little noisy from music at nearby pubs. Swell only offered minimal items for breakfast so if you want a cooked breakfast you need to go into town which isn’t far. There was no laundry on site or laundry service. Pool is very shallow. Doona on bed too hot as it’s polyester fill - should offer blanket alternative.
The location was great. Aesthetically the hotel is beautiful. The complimentary sauna and ice bath each day was appreciated. Lounges by the pool are very comfortable.
