The coziness and comfort of the place. The kids loved watching the kangaroo that came to visit each night or early morning. We enjoyed the quietness and being in the middle of the bush, where you feel so connected to nature. The house is beautifully decorated and maintained, with a lovely costal atmosphere.

The property doesn't have a clothes dryer. Not so good during wet winter periods when you have young children. It would be hard to find room in the laundry/bathroom area for a dryer but there are good combined washer/dryer machine options readily available.

This is a recommendable place to stay. Warm and homely with a European nautical feel. Minutes away from the beach in a quiet bush setting and close to Penneshaw where there is a supermarket and excellent pub restaurant. Many tourist attractions are within an hour's drive. It has been thoughtfully set up.

The tiniest of niggles, the microwave on top of the fridge is too high and a bit dangerous getting hot food and liquids out but such a minor point and easily fixed

The most beautiful setting and a gorgeous property! A short walk to the most glorious beach and on days when we didn’t feel like doing anything we just sat outside and watched the wildlife. The birdbaths, which we washed and refilled daily were a draw for many native birds and the resident Rosenberg’s Monitor was an absolute delight to watch as he moved through, sunning himself on the way

Because I am not familiar with or familiar with a new environment, how is the shopping situation I received? We people from the city are very accustomed to having close contact with humidity, but on Kangaroo Island, we may not have prepared well. If the homeowner could prepare some eggs, milk, and bread in advance for future guests, I believe guests who come to stay would be very grateful. These are not very expensive foods that are very daily needs for the family, and can meet the needs of this ordinary breakfast. Yes, if it's okay, it would be great if the homeowner could help prepare. If it's not prepared, it's okay. It's best to give a hint to new guests. Well, maybe we haven't paid much attention to it either. Let's see what we're looking forward to in the future.

The overall layout of the room is quite good, well, there are many small designs that are carefully thought out, and the overall presentation presents a very comfortable scene. Well, the theme of sailing is a very interesting design for single parties, which can reflect the owner's energy and interests, giving every person living here a sense of story.

Amazing location. Comfy beds and stocked with everything we needed. Resident kangaroos and the most amazing bath surrounded by bush. Strandmarken is great for a family - heaps of small touches for the kids. We felt right at home.

we had a plumbing issue which is the only problem. it was dealt with straight away so really didn’t hinder us at all.

Only minor details keep this from being a 10 star review: We found 2 fire ants by the bathtub. The night lamp in the second bedroom as well as the Bluetooth speaker weren’t working. There are kangaroos on the property which is obviously amazing to watch, but they do come for the food and as they are wild animals, we don’t think they should be fed by humans.

The location couldn’t be any better for KI. It’s so close to the ferry terminal, making arrival and departure easy breezy, but at the same time Island Beach (one of the best swimming beaches on the island) is literally right next to it, a 2 minute walk. The fireplace and outdoor bathtub were LUSH especially for this bizarre winter-in-summer weather. The kitchen was the best stocked I have ever witnessed at a holiday house, from all spices to a delicious free wine and sodastreamer, there was nothing to miss. Don’t hesitate to book here.

Lovely property with great facilities. Everything we would have wanted was provided. Very well provided kitchen, we particularly enjoyed the espresso machine. Fantastic location that was a great jumping off point to everything we wanted to see. Nearby beach was lovely. All the practical stuff aside, it just felt like a beach house. Somewhere that immediately got us into a relaxed holiday mood.
