How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Room cleaning was erratic; I was told cleaning was daily, but unless I asked at Reception no cleaning was done, except for one day. For 2 days I did not ask and there was no cleaning.

TV and WiFi were both unavailable and due to booking in after reception closed, was unable to get any help... After a BIG day, I just wanted to enjoy some TV & rest!
Was a great little apartment, wish I had more time to have really enjoyed it!

clearer directions to be emailed - when unmanned reception please and car parking was not clearly explained

Our stay was excellent. Checkin was efficient, the room was spacious with a private terrace, clean, comfortable, with great facilities including aircon and wifi. Breakfast was basic but entirely satisfactory.

The pillows were too soft - had no body at all; and while we were there we couldn't get the TV in our apartment to work; but it didn't really worry us - we were busy with family and activities and didn't need the TV
The size of the apartment was great, and the location was perfect for us. The apartment is so well fitted out you could easily stay for a month or more comfortably

The location was tricky to find at first. The air conditioning stopped working through the night and checkout day. We stayed until late November. By 5:30 am, the room was light. The bathroom was a little snug.
It's close to Kingspark and the city. Parking was included in the price, and thereare plenty of car parks. The room was spacious and clean. It was quiet. Large fridge in room.

The one thing that lets St Cats on Park down is the really strong musty smell in the corridor where all of the hotel accommodation rooms are situated, im not sure if it is mould but something really needs to be done about it, I absolutely loved everything else about the accommodation but would not go back until this was fixed unfortunately
From the easy car parking, transport into the city, the breakfast, the quiet, updated room, having a balcony and being able to let fresh air into the room it was all fabulous.

Needed better direction details - there are two entrances.
The accommodation was great - clean and comfortable. There was a lovely relaxing outdoor garden on the third floor - fantastic. The breakfast was great and the students help was an added bonus.

The TV was a little difficult to figure out but worked perfectly fine; only had about 10 channels though.
The room was great, very clean. The service upon check-in was wonderful and easy to check-out. The buffet style breakfast had a variety of sweet and savoury.

There is street parking only for guests which has a four hour limit and subject to fines. It should be clearly stated that there is no parking for guests. Also it should clarify that the hotel it boarded with full time students from UWA who during my stay were very loud into the early hours of the morning.

It was almost impossible to find the location of this place. Our driver dropped us off where google directed in what turned out to be student accommodation blocks, not the hotel/appartments, in middle of the night in puring rain, and appartments nowhere to be found. Took us 30 mins on foot to finally track down the entrance to this place on a back street with entrance very poorly signed. The appartments are actually part of the University in the middle of student accommodation. This is not a hotel. Appart from that rather damp start, the accommodation itself was OK.
Fairly spacious appartment, comfortable bed, good airconditioning.
