The lodge is located in a beautiful natural area surrounded by rainforest. Barrington Tops National Park backs up to the property. The room we stayed in overlooked the pond and we were able to sit on the balcony and feed a friendly king parrot. There's a walking trail that takes you up into the National forest and then along the river that runs through the property. It's such a lovely and tranquil spot and not far from the town of Dungog.

It was raining during our stay so exploring the area was a little more challenging

    Property response:

Thank you both, hope your return home was safe and fun, we enjoyed your company and yes it was wet but that gives you the real rainforest🌿🐸

Location was stunning, cabins cute clean with everything we needed, wood fire was very cosy. Owners lovely, very welcoming. Very relaxing, great views from the cabin with the sound of the River rushing by

Was noisey at night unfortunately from a group that was also staying which dampened the experience of the peace & tranquility of the beautiful location. Perhaps a noise curfew would be something worth a try.

    Property response:

Sorry we do not usually have noise issue, this was a group and there booking was split between rooms, we were not aware that they were going to be so noisy and it being so quiet here it amplifies noise. Again sorry and it really is not a problem in 30 years.🦋

Nice walking tracks but didn’t do my research and didn’t pack walking shoes or appropriate clothes

Very dull, pitch black, staff met us on arrival but didn’t see them for the whole stay, no service what so ever, 37 minutes drive to get service, fuel, or food.

    Property response:

We were always here, and did walk around, we noted when you came in and went out and told you where we were that you could easily talk to us. We try to let people do there own thing. We are in the bush and there is no reflected light, and there was no moon. As you said you did not even know where you were going, it is always good to do some research, it is a place to get away to and enjoy being in nature.

    It had an incredible serenity

The state of the road to access it

    Property response:

The road unfortunately is local DUNGOG Shire, we and neighbours have been complaining regularly.

The cabin, the location and the sounds of the waterfall and birds when we woke up in the morning. The owners are so wonderful and friendly too.

The restaurant wasn't open but cabins are self contained with cooking facilities.

    Property response:

Sorry for belated reply, it was lovely having you and your appreciation
