The only big bear of our stay was the door lock being a little sticky and a little difficult to unlock.

Merilyn and Bruce were perfect hosts. Sharing their little slice of paradise with us and giving us locations to visit whilst we were in town was very welcome. Would have no hesitation recommending their place to anyone looking for a place to stay in port Stephens.

The apartment is very lovely and the bed was comfortable. The apartment is spacious and there is a extra room for baggage, what I always like. There are plenty of details that really make it feel like a home. Breakfast was good.

Nothing...everything was fine

Very friendly hosts who couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was comfortable. Continental breakfast was varied and plentiful Lovely garden area to sit in with use of pool if desired

The location was just right, my mum & step dad needed time away. They enjoyed the stay and everything was as the photos were. They will definitely be back again. They managed to do a lot of Sightseeing, have dinner but overall they got to relax The owners looked after them both extremely well.

Salamander Bay is in a great region. The B and b is in a great location close to shops and an easy drive to beaches and activities. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The room is nice and big and well equipped. There is a pool to relax in. Breakfast is also good.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like

Lovely hosts, lovely spotless accomodation, great breakfast offering. Felt like home away from home rather than an impersonal hotel room. Bed was extremely comfortable and towels thick and fluffy.

Liked everything, happy to come back again

Merilyn and Bruce were very friendly. They gave us great recommendation of places to visit like the sunset beach, final bay beach and the tomaree summit walk. Their garden was amazing and pool was just right to chill for NYE. They thought of everything we needed. Loved using the bbq and Merilyn provided breakfast supplies. Really loved the nature and away from the crowds which Ross and I wanted.

Merilyn and Bruce are exceptional hosts who truly go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Their apartment is absolutely gorgeous—immaculately clean and packed with thoughtful amenities. They have a keen eye for detail, as everything you could possibly need has been carefully considered. The surrounding grounds are beautifully maintained, offering a serene and relaxing atmosphere. We also appreciated the abundance of local information, including maps and brochures, which made exploring the area so much easier. Our experience here was outstanding, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

Merilyn and Bruce are fantastic hosts. The continental breakfast had a great variety and presented lovely. The room was tidy, quiet and spacious with plenty of storage. It had everything you need. The garden was magnificent with a creek at the end. The location was perfect, close to everything. Merilyn gave us lots of useful tips about what to see and do, also there was a folder with full of information. Great attention to detail by the hosts. We really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend.

Definitely need a car to get around

Great bnb lovely room such a nice big space. Plenty of nice breakfast options and top ups were offered! Pool was nice and lovely quiet surroundings. Hosts were fantastic!! Had lots of amazing recommendations of what to do during our stay very helpful and even gave us some advice for the rest of our trip. Would definitely recommend

Absolutely nothing. Maybe just some unfortunate windy weather. Which cleared to a perfect sun shining day as we departed.

Breakfast was perfect. Fresh and conveniently available in our room. Room was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Lovely hot shower and fresh clean linen. Air-conditioning available but not needed during our stay - plenty of windows to control fresh air and comfort. Convenient and quite location with lush garden and a picturesque stream running past the back of the property. Upon arrival, hosts Merilyn and Bruce, provided helpful information about the area. This was so much appreciated and allowed us to make the most of our time. This was our first visit to Port Stephens and we can not stress how helpful all their advice/information was. We did not waste a minute, and with only 2 full days, managed to see all the sights, sample some delicious meals and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
