How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Stayed in room 1. Previous guests food left in fridge. Complimentary milk out of date, coffee granules were stuck in the packet. Quilt inside linen was very old & dirty. Air cond did not work & luckily had a panel heater as a back up. Fridge works loudly in the dead of night. Iron did not work well.
Comfortable bed & clean linen. Good size room.

Maybe drab decor and info about local attractions, and dining venues. Maybe opening hours for local clubs, pubs coffee shops etc.
Location good. Room and bed comfortable. Good for overnight stay. Very basic but suited us as we were out most of the time.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable and air con kept us warm.

Room was not warm enough, air conditioner/heater was not sufficient. The heater in the room did not work. Refrigerator ice box was frozen up. We had difficulty in opening the key box to the room.

Obviously dated ( that doesn’t matter so much) , not enough cutlery for meal (no knives) carpet needs a good clean ; a few bugs around; no human contact check in ( which is ok unless something goes wrong !)
Great location . Facilities ok . Comfortable bed, nice hot shower … being an old design includes old fashioned features such as a tile in the shower wall to support your leg for shaving ! Bowling club with meals next door

The Motel sign is in disrepair. I actually drove past the motel first time. The motel also looks quite shabby on the outside but I was pleasantly surprised once I was in my room.
Good location on main road and no traffic noise. A very short walk to cafes and the pub. Great little kitchenette - kettle, toaster, microwave. Well stocked with towels and toiletries. Nice, comfy bed. Older style room but very comfortable. Air conditioner and heater warmed the room nicely.

The deco was tied and could use updating. Tiles looked like they were 40 years old in bathroom and were mis -matched. The room could have used a better clean.

The shower the water running into the bathroom. Need to look at how to get the water to go down the shower drain.

The carpet needs a steam clean or replacing but everything in the room worked and we only needed the room to sleep in

The room definitely had a very musty smell- I was worried about sleeping and breathing it in. It was as if the room had a definite water leak somewhere. The mixed brown tiles were a definite reminder of the 70’s.
The room was big and so was the bathroom. The shower was great.

Was quite expensive for what we got. $181 for the night and it was quite old and run down. No staff on site, no Instructions when we got there other than a sign on the restaurant door on a piece of paper saying to call a mobile number to check in. Fine for passing through but could definitely use some work.

The storm put the internet unsteady the whole time. The TV remote batteries needed replacing. The room wasn’t serviced during our 2 night stay. The keypad on the door didn’t work.
The Thai restaurant was cloaed the whole time we were there.
