It can get loud on a Saturday evening as it is right next to a bar but I used ear plugs so it wasn't too bad. Without it you might struggle to sleep.

The hostel was tidy and clean in general. The bathroom were in good condition and there were a number of bathrooms and toilets available. The internet was good and it is right next to the tram stop which is convenient.

Not social at all. Very loud and not many seating options.

Rooms were nice with nice curtains and lamp. You could also lock your stuff in a crate under the beds.

The only issue is that when someone walks in the room, the bunkbed shakes a lot.

Floorboards a bit creaky, windows rattle when it’s really windy, mattress was very firm - no huge deal breakers, just small things.

Location was great for my purpose - place is fairly quiet, bar downstairs didn’t get too noisy at any point I was there. Staff were friendly, as were the backpackers I interacted with.

People had food in their room, I’d say out of the 8 people at least 4-5 had hot food or open food around which wasn’t ideal… the hostel was also a little bit load even after 11/12 which usually I wouldn’t mind but it was quite load..

The location was perfect ! Very well connected with trams, busses, bars etc. Price was amazing too considering others near it charge a lot more for the same The beds were so comfortable and rooms were spacious. They also had great outlets. Lau and Ericka on reception were amazing. So helpful and welcoming. Great staff to have.

The atmosphere is welcoming, the common areas are kept clean, there is good water pressure, the showers are spacious and the kitchen is very well equipped. And the best part is that the staff is super friendly and there are always group activities. Everything is excellent!

I was there on Saturday night and very loud music was going until 2am. The room was heavily scented with socket fragrance dispenser when I arrived. Took a while to vent it. The only window was opening to a courtyard where smokers congregated until late

Ritz is family! i've spent my first four months in australia there and i must say i would come back there (maybe soon :P) as it really holds precious memories. i stayed in the 10 Female dorm and it was amazing room with plenty of space, windows and light. cleanings are regular and well made, people are willing to make you fill at home and kitchen is spacious. Ritz can only be experienced on your own skin to understand how special it is! i'm travelling around australia right now and Ritz keeps strongly his gold ranking #1 . i miss you Ritz!
