Pool can get crowded and although there is a no reserving of chairs it still happened. Pigeons are an issue if you're eating your breakfast outside.

Room was great, except some of the light switches in the room didn't function properly. Great views of the ocean, short work to main restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast, thought it was good value for what we paid.

We had a King Ocean Front Room that was super large with a great bathroom (with bath). Fantastic deep balcony looking out to sea. Incredible sunrises. The lagoon pool with soft sand beach is impressive with multiple pool areas for safe shallow swimming or deeper pools. Breakfast is an additional A$35 but with an impressive buffet selection of hot and cold foods. The hotel is set on the Esplanade with a walking path along the waters edge that stretches from the marina to the other side of the bay. Fantastic for morning and afternoon walks. Free underground parking in the hotel.

Not much information in the room regarding the hotel and facilities. The bar at the pool area had a DJ one night, who we thought wasn't playing for the audience but for himself, drove us and a fair few others away.

The only downside was the lack of shower facilities for guests after checkout. We had a late flight and were disappointed we couldn’t freshen up before leaving — surprising for a 5-star hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at Crystalbrook Riley in Cairns! The location is perfect — right on the Esplanade and within walking distance of excellent restaurants. The pools are beautiful, breakfast was very nice, and dinner at Paper Crane was outstanding. Our ocean view room was comfortable, well-presented, and the views were incredible. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable. We also loved the vibrant vibe of the Esplanade.

The buffet breakfast options are not extensive enough for a 5 star hotel.

The location is excellent, away but only short walk from the busy restaurant area. The pool is amazing, suitable for all ages, even little ones enjoy it and can play with the sand. Staff are all very helpful and friendly.

Nothing really but since you asked. There weren't any tea cups, house keeping came mostly in the afternoon after 3pm instead of during the day and we were often unable to have our room serviced as we wanted to rest.

The pool is so beautiful, The staff all seem genuinely happy and polite, The view from Rocco is very cool. The beds were so comfy. The linen and towels (including pool towels) were lovely. We were upgraded to a room with pool view and it was great for people watching and relaxing. Excellent room lighting. Nespresso Coffee machine in the room if you like coffee.

There was not much to fault. One thing that irked us was the cleaners attention to vacuuming. In particular the hallway was not vacuumed until we made mention. Lastly the gym was great but I would have loved it it you had a swiss exercise ball and exercise rollers.

Very comfortable beds. Great balcony with fabulous view of the pool and beach. Great pools and poolside with many choices. Gym waa great and loved the bikes.
