Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOptions on the buffet dinner were limited and not worth the cost of the meal- we were disappointed with our meal
Accommodation and location were great. We enjoy the birdlife and walks and the restful nature of the venue

United KingdomSome of the accommodation is quite far from the central dining room and accessible only by stairs. Unfortunately this was not suitable for my elderly parents (partly my fault for not phoning ahead), however, the staff did manage to change their room for one more accessible only day two. The food there is quite expensive, and the activities are also expensive so be prepared to pay extra for everything you do on top of your accommodation.
Beautiful rainforest location, spacious rooms, a range of activities offered in addition to the walks. The roof top bar has magnificent views and serves a very good pizza.

United KingdomVery nice en-suite studio room with comfortable beds and fantastic views over the rainforest from the balcony. Amazing location. The infinity pool and spa area were great, wood fires in the main building library and bar were cosy in the evening, and there are amazing walks through the rainforest directly from the hotel. Wished we could have stayed longer.

United KingdomThe room needs some updating - we had a few issues with the door access and toilet flushing. Very cold tiled floor in the bathroom. Bed too soft. All minor but could be better. It was hard to dry wet clothes (due to rain) in the room. Air conditioning not very effective and it was chilly. Staff a little indifferent sometimes but generally smiley and professional. Breakfast buffet ($40 AUS each) quite pricey - and, cheeky to charge $6 for barista coffees on top!
The location is very special and unique. On a good day, the views are superb. We had a Mountain View and it was amazing. Good food offerings and cosy rooms. Really good activities, including the afternoon tea and bird walk, as well as a talk by a jiournalist about the Stinson disaster. The manager’s welcome, with local sparkling wine, also good. Lovely to see so many stunning birds all over. We did the Towona Trek and the Border Track from Binna Burra - both great but due to rain, quite boggy. Still, peaceful and remote. Some local walks, such as the Treetop Walk, are great. Definitely worth exploring. The outdoor infinity pool by the villas is certainly worth the walk down. We ate great dinner in the Rainforest Bar and had wholesome breakfasts in the main dining room.

AustraliaThere could have been a chair & little table inside for convenience, and a bin in the room not just the bathroom
The seating on the balconies was nice, with all the birds

AustraliaThe villas were a further distance away from main eating area than I realized difficult to walk back in the dark after dinner needs more lighting to see where going and more signage on walking tracks to make sure we are going in the correct direction
We liked the atmosphere the friendly and helpful staff the food was fantastic and reasonably priced clean and comfortable the wildlife and extra activities

AustraliaA few places starting to look a little tired. Heater in the room had to work overtime to keep us warm due to the very cold weather. Fridge was quite small.
The bed was very comfortable. Room was really close to main building so didn't have to walk far for drinks or food. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Meal portions were quite large, so you definitely did not go hungry 😋

AustraliaBbq wasn't working properly. Reception staff were a bit offhand when I mentioned this as if it were a trivial complaint, but we had planned for bbqs both nights, so to have to shift to the thin-based frying pan was a bit disappointing. Family from the main guest house joined us both nights, so 7 for dinner meant cooking had to be done in shifts.
The location is hard to beat. Walks exceeded the best of my memories from many trips to Green Mountains. Good to have a villa to gather in comfort after a big day out.

AustraliaThe room had no sound proofing. I could hear everything next door even down to the tiny sounds like a can of soft drink being opened and a phone vibrating on silent. The balcony door also rattled in the wind. I didn’t get much sleep and there was no chance for a sleep in due to the cleaners wheeling around super early.
Staff were friendly, location is amazing of course and the food was really delicious. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast and also a yummy pizza for dinner. Bed was comfy.

AustraliaWe would have liked to sample the dining room but felt the buffet dinner @ $70 was too dear.
We didn’t eat at the restaurant for breakfast or dinner as we brought our own food as the kitchen was well equipped.

AustraliaWish we had more time at this location. The view is stunning. Loved the family history and the fact that family members still work there. Our room, while dated, was clean and comfortable. Loved the morning bird feeding walk. Definitely want to come back for a longer stay and do some of the bushwalks and use the pools. We were only here for a quick stop.

AustraliaThe mattress needed to be spun around so that our heads weren’t lower than our feet (we slept upside down and to fix this). The shutters in the room needed to be reconfigured (one was on the wrong track and meant we couldn’t see all of the view).
Buffet dinner was very enjoyable (and expensive). The buffet breakfast was alright, very good omelettes, homemade jams and nice baked beans (expensive). The view from our room was beautiful. The welcome talk in the afternoon was excellent to hear the history!! The staff were excellent the whole stay!! Great birds/wildlife. The treetop walk is always great.
