How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I did not realise when booking that all the interactions would be on the phone. I was sent so many text messages and and codes and then had to call a number to actually book in. The offsite parking was another text message and more codes, and quite a walk! Not 'just around the corner' as stated. The codes were particularly disconcerting when our code to get into the building didn't work when we returned after dinner. I did not feel the apartment was very clean. I understand it was a little dated and the fixtures old, but the cleanliness was lacking. The pillow was terrible.
The location was great. It was roomy. The kitchen had whatever you would need except we weren't there long enough to utilise that. The bed I used was comfortable.

The wifi is very slow, no Netflix, Disney + etc…. Couldn’t even hook up PlayStation To get my own pay TV. Need more cover n middle of bed as it is 2 singles pushed together

Rooms not very clean. We didn’t like the note left under our door & the other 5 doors near us asking for a sexual encounter with a transvestite.
Centrally located in Hamilton to all the facilities, clubs, restaurants etc. It serves the purpose of providing accommodation.

Location. Hamilton used to be the destination in Newcastle. Now it is full of angry young adults fighting and street people up to no good. Felt a little unsafe.

The bath/shower did not drain well at all, so no chance of using the spa bath, and a shower left us ankle deep in water that took ages to drain down the plughole. At the end, it washed up gunk that sat in the bath until we showered again. We called for maintenance, and I believe someone came, but nothing was done to improve the situation. A bath would have been nice.... Also WAY too many codes to manage all the different doors!
It was a convenient location.

The lift was out of order and there was no notification of this either before during or after making the booking. There was even a lift code given with the access code received on the day of check-in Having to carry a heavy suitcase up 4 flights of stairs and my 94 yr old mum Having to walk up 4 flights of stairs was terrible at the end of a long days train travel however i will mention that we have enjoyed previous stays

I have stayed here many times. Love the space and the location . However this trip, the lift did not work and I was not informed by management . I did not have client with disability with me this trip, otherwise it would be a huge problem. I woke up with red spots on my body, assuming it was because of the sheets.

Thought the interior was looking a bit run down and showed water damage marks in the ceiling of the bedroom.

Attitude of the staff on the phone really let them down, parking access code was wrong, service attitude of the staff member was a total disgrace.

just this stay, the cleanliness wasn’t the best, i had multiple cockroaches in my apartment, i also paid for early check in and didn’t get my check in code till i rang up 10 times & was hung up on & the code didn’t get sent till 30mins after my check in time.
it has everything you need and it’s a full apartment, it has a full kitchen, stove, fridge, toaster, dining table, couches, smart tv, spa, washing machine & dryer.
