Parking .Poorly marked bays . Gravel surface rough and muddy. An upgrade to the surface would make a difference .

We loved the location of the grand homestead with spacious facilities . Multiple guest lounge rooms with cosy fire places. The bar menu and dining area superb .An amazing country vista to enjoy from all angles . Would love to experience the beautiful gardens in spring .

Some furniture was tired and the furniture in the rooms could do with a clean.

Location, warm fires and comfy sofas. Food was excellent.

Rooms are outdated-needs a lift up, door is hard to open with manual keys. The restaurant is advertised to be dog friendly but unfortunately you cannot order their usual menu if you have a dog-you have to sit outside in the verandah (cold in peak winter) and order from the lounge menu which is tasty but a bit basic.

Dog friendly room on ground floor. Neat, comfortable, clean, warm and cosy in winter. Good breakfast selection. Gardens are well maintained ,plenty of space for my pup to roam around freely-he loved it. Pet friendly. Good to have high chairs for breakfast for my 1yo too.

It’s an older property, so the sound proofing of the rooms is not great, but this is to be expected.

The surroundings were stunning. It’s in a beautiful location and the room had French doors that opened onto the veranda so you could really enjoy the nature. The staff were very accommodating when I requested to change to a smaller, cheaper room as my circumstances altered last minute. It’s was spotlessly clean, the shower was powerful and the bed was very comfortable.

Room was a shoe box and not the balcony floor in the picture. No access to the outside from within the room and very small. Could of put lighting out on the balcony to enjoy the seating with pets for longer at night and even serve dinner and breakfast when bringing pets.

Dinner was lovely, and staff were great, although the dining room lacked ambience.

Our first room stank of sewage. They moved us straight away, however the second room was tiny and really cold. I think for the money that it costs it’s not worth it

However in some parts the building needs a revamp and a coat of paint. The carpet in the bedroom was old and worn out, bathroom tiny. Breakfast fine but nothing out of the ordinary. With a few tweaks this place could be amazing. View over car park

We loved the location. The lounge areas were great with fires and great lounge. Barnan was fantastic Beds good. Heating great.

Overheated, radiators were turned up to max and were plentiful. It was winter but we had to sleep with window ajar and still too hot Room was small, even though we purposely didn’t book the ‘petite’ Bathroom tiny and outdated No gym No books or board games in communal areas Plants not watered and listless with the heat

Staff were friendly and helpful. They tried their best to find a better room for us. When they couldn’t, they gave us a rate discount which was generous Dinner, although expensive, was top notch Communal areas lively with roaring fireplaces Beds very comfortable with crisp white linen

Staff did not know their jobs and service was poor

The location and associated golf course is excellent. The pet friendly rooms are great and very clean. The only downside was the restaurant staff. The restaurant was fully booked and we had to eat in an outer room, with only a cocktail menu.

Since pets can't come into the lounge (totally understand), would be good to have some heaters on the balcony to enjoy drinks etc with your dog.

The room to stay in with pet was very small and no natural light does create a musk like smell. There is also not sound proofing and we could clearly hear other dogs , babies etc from other rooms Our tv also did not work.

The grounds were exceptional and it was so lovely to have couch pod set up with fire places going to enjoy. We werepleasantly surprised by the adjoining golf course
