Everything was great.

The location of Pelicans Rest was absolutely great, as it was walking distance to the beach, shopping strip (local cafes), Beach pool and was central to everything we wanted to do and most importantly close to friends. The place was spotless, everything was very clean, Towels, bed linen, cutlery and crockery all furniture. The apartment was beautifully decorated with furniture that complemented the room and the apartment. The Host Barb and Laurie are absolutely great people, Friendly, Polite, Respectful to one's privacy and most of all extremely friendly people. They made you feel welcome from start to finish. As we have travelled over the years and stayed in many places, my Wife was most comfortable at Pelicans Rest. I would highly recommend Pelicans Rest and definitely will book this place again in my next visit. Thanks Barb and Laurie for your great hospitality and beautiful apartment, we enjoyed are holiday.

The bed was comfortable but a little firm for us.

Our host was a lovely guy to deal with. The location was perfect, close to the main street, within walking distance. The room was immaculate and a very well-appointed kitchenette. The spa bath was lovely to have a soak in after exploring the area all day. Also Netflix and WiFi included

Laurie is one of the most welcoming hosts we’ve stayed with. The room is very cozy and has everything we need. It’s also in a wonderful location, close to the beach and the village. Highly recommended!

Everything was very good. The room comfortable and well appointed.

The location was within in easy walking distance to the Shellharbour Village cafes and the hotel. We also walked to the Marina which was picturesque and also had great bars for food and drinks.

Beautiful unit in a great location. Easy access to cafes and restaurants nearby. Great beaches to walk on and very friendly greeting by our host. Great weekend.

The location was perfect. 2 minute walk to beach and shops. Restaurants supermarket etc. hosts Barb and Laurie were amazing going above and beyond to look after myself and my wife while we stayed. As we couldn’t pick up a rental vehicle till the day after we arrived Laurie offered to drive us to places nearby if we needed. Exceptionally clean and private place to stay and very relaxing. We look forward to stay again next time we are back

Check in was easy, we arrived early (12:30) but a message to Barbara was answered immediately and the room was ready so in we went. The two essential criteria of bed and shower were perfect - comfortable and hot. Every single thing we needed was supplied including complimentary chocolates which were very welcome. The walk to the shopping centre and the beach were so short a car was not needed unless you want to visit the National Parks. My wife enjoyed the spa on one of our days and we both enjoyed the Netflix provided. The only downside was the lack of a view and a small shaded courtyard was the only natural light coming in however you can't have everything :)

The property had 2 apartments that had a common entry door with dual entry doors located in a very small foyer. It did not feel quite as private as I would have liked and felt concerned that entering or leaving would impact the other guest also staying there. There was minimal storage to unpack/hang clothing. Everything was presented and received to make us feel very comfortable and relaxed so much so that now being an older retired couple we lost track of time at check out. We do appreciate and sincerely apologise that it was necessary to remind us at 10.30 am that check out was at 10.00am and the cleaning needed to be done. It did make me feel very uncomfortable for the inconvenience.

We found the queen bed a bit firm for our weary old bones & joints.

Friendly hosts welcomed us at the door, gave us the keys, pointed out how close we were to the ocean pool and the main drag, showed us to the room and explained pretty much everything. Located in a dead end street so no traffic noise anytime day or night. The room was well appointed and very clean, we really appreciated the decent sized fridge/freezer. Good sized TV which had surprisingly good sound, dialog was fairly easy to understand for us hard of hearing folk. We were able to open some windows and a door to let some light southerlies in overnight, so there was no need for the AC.

Our studio apartment was immaculate and extremely well appointed - could not have asked for anything more. Our host was welcoming, charming and so helpful especially with sightseeing and restaurants.
