How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ocean Crest On Pebbly. The unit was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very convenient. We could walk to the shops, the beach and the fabulous walking tracks near by. Cindy was most obliging and flexible - allowing us to occupy the unit early. We had a car free few days and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful environment. We would love to stay here again and for longer next time.

There as nothing we didn’t like
We absoulutly loved our stay. I loved the whole design and soft colours throughout. Everything is thought of and so comfortable. We only stopped quickly on our travels home but would have loved to stay longer. You can hear the waves and ocean while you sleep. The host was so lovely and friendly to chat with. I would highly recommend and stay again whenever going through that way.

Nothing we didnt like
One of the best apartments we have stayed in as far as Amenities. Especially liked the little things left for us in the fridge which came in handy for breakfast as we had nothing.

This little gem was in a perfect location for our family to explore the beach and walk down to the cafe in the morning. It was well appointed with family friendly touches and chic decor.

Beds a little soft but that is and individual taste. Thick donnas making the beds to hot.
Very comfortable 2 bedroom apartment. In a quiet but centrally located area close to the beach and a 10 minute walk into the heart of town. The apartment is full of home touches and well appointed.

Instructions for the electric stove top were insufficient for us. We are older & not as quick to master new devices as those younger & we use a gas stove at home, so we never quite mastered it. This not a complaint rather seeking more info for our next time which is our plan.

There was no air conditioning and the ceiling fan remote in the kids room was broken, which made it hard for them to sleep.
The property had everything that is needed for a family and it was very clean. The location is great as it is close to everything. The communication from the owner was excellent.

Nothing, this is a lovely place to stay.
This unit is very spacious and very well decorated. The owner has been very thoughtful with incredible attention to detail. Staying at this unit was like being at our own home. Exceptionally clean, with everything in wonderful condition. Amazing find after another host cancelled our accomodation at very short notice.

There is no air con, and it was pretty hot and humid during our stay (I'm sensitive to the heat).
Amazing location, right near the beach, ocean pool and the beautiful bicentennial walk. Short walk to shops and food. It was so relaxing to hear the ocean from the main bedroom while going to sleep. A home away from home, with wonderful inclusions for travelling with kids / baby (portacot and linen, bouncer, high chair, a game). We loved the vibe of the whole place and furniture was very comfortable. So nice having two balconies, and great to have a full kitchen. We'd definitely stay there again.

The mattress and I did not get alone. Modern mattresses, that can only be turned around and not like inner spring mattresses that can be turned over tend to become lumpy quickly.
The appartment was clean and nicely renovated. It was well equipped and contained everything that is needed for a cosy, relaxing home away from home. Great position to Pebbly beach, wonderful walks and good restaurants. The owner was most welcoming and passionate about providing a great stay.

Super cute coastal stay in a prime location. Minutes walk to the local ocean pool and great cafes. Super peaceful, was great to fall asleep listening to the waves. Apartment has everything you need and some. Bluetooth Speaker and all the appliances were very handy.
