We understand the early church bells can be surprising although unfortunately these things are out of our hands. We’re sorry that hand towels were not provided and will follow up with our housekeeping team to ensure this is addressed. We were concerned to learn of the issue with the ceiling tiles. As this was not reported during your stay, we were unfortunately unable to assist at the time. Guest safety is a top priority, and had our front office or afterhours caretaker been notified, we would have acted immediately. Since receiving your feedback, our maintenance team has been informed and is reviewing all fittings as a precaution. Regarding the pre-authorisation, we understand your concerns. To accommodate a wide range of guests, we keep this to a minimum of $1. This standard practice helps verify card validity, prevent fraud, and protect against potential damage during a stay. However, we do recognise the inconvenience this may cause, which is why we offer free cancellation for guests who choose not to proceed under these terms. We’re also sorry to hear your experience at reception did not meet expectations. For privacy and staff safety, team members are not required to provide surnames or personal details.
