Having to charge phone in main lodge, had to time it so would have phone / camera for day hikes

Stayed in the glamping tent, comfy bed with plenty of blankets for winter. Bit windy 2nd night, but tent held no problem. Only challenge for tent no power to charge phone. They provide lamps for night vision in tent. Easy access to visitor centre (5min drive), nearby hikes and the Wall of China / Red Rock look out. The main lodge has a bar and serves meals. Price of tent a little much for just a tent and shared bathroom, but it's a captured market in the national park. The guys who brought a campervan got a better deal.

Doonas super thin so have to keep heating on to stay warm at night. Place looks a tad shabby could do with some maintenance.

You're only going to Mungo Lodge for the location which is fantastic

From the moment we arrived at Mungo Lodge we felt welcome. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for Anjou and her husband. The evening meals (with GF/ DF options) were delicious and the open fire provided a relaxing ambiance. Our cabin accommodation provided every we needed, although as someone travelling light, a hair dryer would have been appreciated.

A bit expensive. Had booked on line- didn’t realise had selected the bunkhouse which was fairly basic so paid the $$$’s to get a cabin when checking in.

Spot on Location to visit the Mungo National Park. Staff very accommodating when we had to change travel dates due to rain impacting access roads being closed.

We upgraded from a tent (what were we thinking?!) to a cabin when we realised how cold it was going to be. We were still freezing—the air conditioning just did not warm the room to a comfortable temperature. I suspect the cabins are not insulated in any way. Tiled floors did not help—they would be welcome in summer, but not in July. The cabins need a serious upgrade. My advice is not to go in the middle of winter. We were disappointed with the tour that we organised through the lodge. Although it enabled us to access the dunes at sunset, the guide was strangely non-communicative! Better to go with the national park guides. Apparently new owners are about to make some changes which are sorely needed.

Very conveniently located in a wonderful part of the country. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy access to the national park, which is wonderful. The restaurant food was surprisingly very good for such a remote location—the lovely Filipino chef does an excellent job and the staff are great.

A comfortable place to stay whilst exploring the remote and amazing Mungo NP. We visited in winter with freezing overnight temperatures so the heated cabins and lovely fire and delicious food at the lodge added some luxury for us. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

Stayed in a glamping tent which was really comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful. Simple breaky included was fine and ticked the box. It’s definitely an amazing place Mungo Mungo to go and visit and considering its remoteness and the challenges with that - the Lodge ticked all our boxes. Highly recommend

Cabins have tiled floors. Great in summer, not so good in winter. No hair-dryer but you can stand under the AC to avoid walking outside in 7°C with wet hair! Large room/bar for relaxing and eating was not warm enough but with only about 25 people there lighting the second fire wasn't really an option. Drive in from Balranald. The Pooncarrie road was very bad.

Liked the style of paired cabins around a circle in well kept grounds. No noise from people next door. Huge bed, comfortable chairs, verandah and chairs.Quiet AC, enormous towels. Convivial atmosphere from diverse people thrown together. Ability to do Walls of China sunset tour from there. Dinner was lovely.
