Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

AustraliaNot enough toilet paper. Only having one set of towels. And while it is self contained, no tea or coffee was weird, especially as there was a coffee machine. Kitchen could have been a bit better stocked.. no tongs.
Location absolutely amazing! Great overall apartment. Being able to take our dog to the snow was a massive bonus. Working remotely was a breeze also!

AustraliaMy only real criticism is that the blinds are well overdue for replacement. Some of them don't adjust anymore and most were really tricky to raise or lower.
The room was well equipped and comfortable at a really good price point for the off season. The window bench seat was really cosy.

AustraliaA big tree near the accomodation has branches scraping the roof. It was really noisy at night specially with the strong wind we had during our stay.
Location is good, in Dinner Plain. The appartement is cosy, perfect for a winter in the mountains.

AustraliaThe Venetian blinds in the main living and bottom of the stairs area were worn, broken, and just looked tired and need to be replaced. Just made the place look a bit run down. Only 1 toilet roll for 4 day stay? Sorry but that is pushing it. The bathroom cabinet had no doors again just looked rundown and the shower leaked onto the floor. No hairdryer! Very small as well with no heating. No milk left in the fridge or salt and pepper in shakers. Sorry, thought milk was always a go. No information on using the microwave eg had convection that I could not work as no oven. Only 1 x wine glass. No tongs. Large fridge though that was good. No information on how to use TV, took 40 minutes but eventually worked it through! Carpets were worn and wrinkled in places. Some light bulbs needed replacing as not working. It is a nice place just needs work on it and it is all pretty basic stuff.
The apartment was close to the only 2 pubs open at the time of the stay. It was central to everything in the main area but in Late Spring so not much opened. The bedroom was upstairs and larger and had views of the sky and treetops. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft and larger. Good room to put things. The kitchen area is workable. The dining area is OK. Bumped head on the roof though on one side! Good heating throughout. A bit dark in the side. Some sun tries to get through the Venetians in the afternoon!
