AustraliaAlthough the bathroom was newly renovated, it wasn't finished. The window frames hadn't been finished off nor painted. Other parts of the room were tired and in need of an upgrade. It was more expensive than the very smart one bedroom apartment we had stayed at the night before in the centre of Canberra but it's the only accommodation of its type in Marlo so, if you want to go to Marlo, you really have to take it as it is.
Dinner in the pub was delicious and I was amazed how busy the pub was on a Monday night. Definitely a pleasant surprise. The views from the venue were lovely with easy walks nearby. The bathroom was newly renovated.

Hotel was handy to where we needed to be to visit relatives. It was comfortable without being luxurious . All we needed . New Bathroom was large and convenient . Bed was comfy . Room was nice size .

AustraliaPeople slamming doors at all hours was disturbing my sleep. These rock apes have no consideration for others and should sleep in their cars or under a bush!
I made my own breakfast using the facilities provided . The scenery in the General area was great and in winter the place is quiet and not a shite show full of knuckle draggers on their summer break. I can recommend a visit to the Cabbage tree palms flora reserve. If you are coming from or going to Jindabyne via Bombala and Orbost then stop overnight in Marlo.

AustraliaEverything was great except there was a rather loud and persistent knocking noise that made sleeping challenging.. I thought it might be an open window and went outside several times to no avail. I finally thought that it might be a pipe shudder that knocks when water is turned off and on possibly in the kitchen. It diminished early in the morning but is worth finding out cause it was a bother and kept me awake. I was in the room called The Narrows.
Love the pub connected to the accomm. Location superb, meal was great, so all good there. Room excellent; warm, comfortable and clean. New ensuite appointment was amazing.

AustraliaThe bar fridge in my room made an intermittent, rattling noise which woke me up twice. I really needed my sleep and this was disappointing. There was also a banging noise (a door?) Which also kept me awake and then woke me in the morning.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and happy. The food was great.
