How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We loved the room & its mural! The bed was spacious. & very comfortable, & the bathroom was well equipped with lovely towels & cosmetics too! A very comfortable, fun place to stay for a night or two in the city👍😃

It was a late booking but leaving the keys in the lock box at the hotel would’ve been much more appreciated instead of having to catch 2 Ubers to pickup keys from the other side of the suburb

I was not informed pre-arrival about it being an unmanned property and needing to check in at other hotel around the corner. Certainly not a dealbreaker (as it was literally around the corner) but would have been helpful to know anyway so I didn't have to lug my bags with me there and back.
Great location. Room was a little smaller than expected but served the purpose well anyway. Easy to find with cafes and shops right on the doorstep. Receptionist was lovely. Property was clean, the artwork was cool.

Not very good sound proofing. My card key wasn’t activated so had to wait outside my room for reception to bring the new card key. Another couple on the way out from their room heard what initially sounded like a cat in its death throes. However it was clearly sounds of an amorous couple from one of the ground floor rooms. Very embarrassing

Some noise from hallway when other guests coming and going - this is more guest consideration of others.
Compact with all necessary amenities. Large comfortable bed and adjustable AC. Good water flow in the shower. Property is close to CBD and has plenty of restaurants and cafes within a short stroll.

The shower space is really small and I couldn't help but bump my elbows on the screen whilst washing myself. The fan in the shower was in need of dusting.
The location is great. Walking distance to many attractions in North Adelaide and beyond. Public transport close by as well as the free Connector Buses to the city. I loved the artwork in my room - a painting titled 'Footy' portraying a Showdown!

For the price, it felt that the facilities were lacking. The room was hard to maneuver in, even opening the wardrobe required taking everything off of the only table top space in the room. The check in is around the corner, and luckily we were driving, but again, pretty inconvenient for what we paid. The bed was uncomfortable. This was two beds uncomfortably fused together with some kind of lumpy linens or something. Shower wasn't great. Sprayed all around the bathroom coming and going from the stall.
I liked the location, and the overall simplicity of the room.

The TV was hard to get to work, so I just gave up.
Bed is always very comfortable. Room is always spotless clean. I would like to use a microwave to heat my takeaway food. A better chair than the stool on wheels.
