Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe swimming pool is more of a children's pool. It's also isolated and it doesn't look inviting at all. The door knob to open the door is very high, so I got stuck when I wanted to leave (as a small adult).
The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. We loved the setting in the rainforest and we enjoyed the trails onsite. The food in the restaurant was good. If you'd like to eat anywhere else you'll need a car. But you need a car anyway to get here, so that shouldn't be a problem. It's 30 minutes away from Cape Trib. Staff is very friendly. We had a lovely time here and used this as a base to explore Daintree NP.

FranceNothing.
Near nothing and close to everything, tucked in the Daintree forrest with few walks available from the site itself. Very quiet. Great for the kids with some entertainments and games. Friendly and helpful staff and amazing food at the restaurant. Comfy beds.

New ZealandGrounds still a bit messy from cyclone damage. Not set up for self catering other than cereal and sandwiches so come prepared or eat out. The Eclectus parrot needs a friend to talk to.
Beautiful setting in the rainforest with walks available and in a good location central to most places in the Daintree. Had dinner at the restaurant one night and the food was good and the drinks reasonably priced. No wifi but Optus had signal. Comfortable beds and good bathroom. Overall a good place.

SpainFood could be better and a bit more generous.
Cabin was fine, the owners are nice and helpful (they booked a boat tour for us at no cost). The walks around the premises are really nice, I liked it more than the official walks of the Natural Park.

SingaporeNothing!
The property was much better than it seemed through the photos. It was cosy and clean, with two fans in our twin room that were individually controlled. The room had a bar fridge, cups, and coffee and tea provided. The property also has a short trail system that residents can use, and said to have regular visits from cassowaries and Musk rat kangaroos. There is also a roost for the Spectacled Flying foxes on site. As a bird watcher it was nice to see a few species of doves roosting in the trees around the property. The owners were really friendly and nice when it comes to recommendations and maintaining the property! Though it should be noted that there is limited reception on site for optus, and no reception on telstra network.

AustraliaLeoni put a positive spin on it but the concrete pool was very uninviting and the property looks like a dump from the front. Off season and owners were away but the grounds were in very poor condition and the cabin although being comfortable was infested with cockroaches and biting inspects - I am still scratching. No microwave in the cabins or camp kitchen despite the restaurant being closed.

United KingdomIt’s a bit outdated. Pool was murky and run down. We had ants in our room and for the price we paid it was a little unclean . Staff were friendly but don’t expect too much. This is merely a place to rest for the night . Also the air con is small and doesn’t have capacity to cool the whole room down so be aware you won’t feel to cold here .
Good location

CanadaMy husband and I stayed here Nov 2010. This time we were with our sons. The Daintree has been the best part of the trip so far. We had tropical rains all night which was magical. We had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed the ability to make tea and coffee in the room. Having a fridge is a real bonus. We also took advantage of the trails on the property. Thank you for our wonderful stay.
