Beautiful room and very Clean !!!!

Big rooms with high ceilings; large, comfy bed; spotlessly clean bathroom with lovely toiletries and raindrop shower and spa bath; continental breakfast. This 1912 building has been carefully and tastefully renovated. Restaurant downstairs serves delicious meals.

Showerhead needs to be better - Stair access outside was not ideal in the rain. Not great for those with issues with access.

The space in the room for the price is unparalleled. The size of the shower was great. Kitchenette facilities were also handy.

The sense of spaciousness and old world charm. The building has been lovingly restored honouring historical architectural features including soaring ceilings, cornices, embossing ceilings, original window and door frames, with modern touches throughout. Very cosy, quiet and private.

Unfortunately we did not account for the fact that there is a nightclub over the road or that the street sweeper would be going around early in the morning . Consequently we only managed four hours sleep. As the room was very cold due to the time of year, we would like to suggest that the heater is turned on maybe a few hours prior to guest arrival, as it did take some time for the room to become a comfortable temperature.

The room was of very good size, with a huge bathroom and a great spa bath, with a large comfortable bed. Everything was soooo clean and the host was very hospitable and accommodating.

Helpful & knowledgeable Staff, spacious rooms and great location. We were told of the Fairy Penguin’s arrival on the beach. Absolute must to see.

Only downside was there were no lifts so bags had to be carried upstairs.

Location was excellent. Right in the middle of town. The room was huge! Bed was really comfortable and a great lounge area with tv. the bathroom was also very large.

Access to our room Stairs to front and back access made it very difficult to get luggage to and from our car Because we had been on the road for over 3 weeks we needed to sort out our cases Was a dangerous staircase from the car park and not much better from the front

The gentleman at the front desk was so helpful giving us excellent recommendations of where to visit and eat while we were there. They also provided a small continental style breakfast in our room which was a lovely surprise.

I always want more black tea bags. I found the foam bed a bit strange and a bit saggy but I was able to find a comfortable spot.

The rooms are large, modern and spotlessly clean. Our room had a well stocked mini bar, a microwave and plenty of glasses, tableware and cutlery.

The rear fire escape is dangerous (nearest to room ) I went down to the car at night and fell off the edge at the bottom of the stairs There was no signage and lighting was inadequate. A barrier needs to be erected ASAP. If there was a fire, this would be a real issue. I fell and hurt my knee and foot when I went to walk down what I thought were stairs but was in fact a close to a half metre drop. I was very lucky that I am tough although having said that my knee is still extremely sore (I think I chipped my bone)

Breakfast provided was adequate although a bit more toast would have been appreciated. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was good. Room was large and comfortable
