How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The four room dorm had what appeared to be two permanents living in there with loads of stuff, fans wizzing all night which they bought with them. So much stuff around the bottom bunk made it hard to get off and on the ladder to get to the top bunk. Permanents made it feel less welcoming. The kitchen area only opens at 7am. so could not get in to make a coffee at 6.30am
very helpful, friendly staff. Nice vibe. Lots of space in kitchen and living area. shuttle to the airport for $10

Facilities are a bit old, but it's okay
The manager picked us up with all our backpacks from the greyhound station for 15$ per person, staff very nice, the kitchen is fully equipped (bins are outside), beds are comfy

The bathrooms in the bedrooms was such a good design and nice and clean. Could use more shelves in the bedroom or places to put items as it was just on piles on the floor.
Such a lovely communal space and kitchen and the free breakfast was amazing!

Cars were revving on the street outside all night. I understand that's not the hostel's fault but it woke us up throughout the night. The drains for the bathroom were also smelly.
A very comfy bed followed by delicious breakfast. Super helpful staff.

Overall cleanliness of the room and toilets could improve. Also Air conditioning in rooms are poorly controlled. My room 14, coudlnt off it and it was like a freezer in there. The charging socket should have a small lid to place the phone.
Kitchen was well maintained. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good and airport transfers. TV room was nice place to relax and the bed was decent.

Car park difficult to find before check in. The room was next to the gate which was very squeaky!

We like our room with private bathroom. Was clean. Bed was squeeky but clean and comfy. Wifi was fast. Like the big communal area and kitchen, nice and clean.

A great little hostel, easy to access via bus and 20 min walk or 10 mins bus to a supermarket. The facilities are great, there’s ovens too. Free Waffles in the morning are great too except you do need to get up early for them as they do go. But they do offer porridge/cereal/toast too. The private rooms are comfortable and clean. They were very accommodating coming off a sleeper offering us the breakfast and tea/coffee and allowed us an earlier check in. Quiet chilled vibes

Air conditioning in the rooms only works during the night, some corners in the backyard are full from rubbish especially around the laundry area (it looks a bit like someone is living there…), please buy real table tennis ball, the ones you had were the worst I used in my life
Shuttle, wifi, free breakfast with great waffles!!!, lots of games and free sport equipment, pool, separate toilet and shower, water filter, enough kitchen space during the time I stayed (and well organised), not too expensive

The room was a good value for the price, walking distance from the local bar and the beach. The bathroom was clean and the room was comfortable enough for the night.

They provide breakfast, but if you are not enough fast can not find anything, which is unbelievable if price is included free breakfast, how is possible they run out of IT before last guest can get?
