Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was food on kitchen bench but no note to indicate if it was for guest consumption. Bathroom taps rattled when cold water turned on. Arm of couch had been previously damaged and was first thing you see upon entering the lounge room Heating unit isn’t clear for which room is Bed 2 vs bed 3. No locks on either bathroom or laundry/toilet doors for privacy purposes.
House was clean and comfortable. Had everything we could need for our stay.

Can't think of a thing that we didn't like.
Wow ! We absolutely loved the ambience and comfort of the whole house. We didn't want for anything. Beds were so comfortable. Great comfortable lounge as well. Just perfect for us. Loved playing the records..

Back yard is pretty rough, not a play space but great for our dog .
Great family and pet friendly home. Everything you need is there and a lovely welcome pack of goodies awaited us when we arrived.

Pity just one toilet but not a huge deal!
So beautifully decorated, spacious and cosy. So great for kids with toys and dvds galore.

Only one toilet
Fantastic gem. Only issue was how far from town centre. However if you have a car not an issue as good off street parking.

Too far out of town to walk to cafes, pubs & attractions. You do need a car during your stay.
Appreciated the pantry basics, great for a self catering house. Enjoyed the cereals, wine and treat provided by the hosts.

We all loved our stay at Gem on Jamieson location, very comfortable and clean. There were the little things that made our stay exceptional. The weather was quite hot, the air conditioning was excellent a comfortable 22 degrees. I would recommend this property to anyone travelling with your furry kids. Thank you

It was what we' ve expected
The house was, as indicated in an earlier review, in a somewhat cluttered neighbourhood, but that is actually true of many more places in Broken Hill. A nice spacious living room, a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed in a spacious bedroom. The landlord told us that they were working hard to clean up the garden as well. As a surprise a well filled welcome pack and fortunately we do drink a glass of wine now and then and eat something unhealthy now and then, so.....And apart from that, we learned as children that you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth..... A good stay on transit to Flinders Range.

The banging water pipe for the hot water in the shower. Milk for non dairy customers if going to provide. goodies that were healthier - they were exceptional goodies, but not very healthy. and non alcohlic drink for non drinkers. all these were extras- which was wonderful but didnt cater for Non alcohlic drinkers, dairy free and vegan and vegetarian healthy eaters. hand soap for toilet was not supplied, but soap on hand.
location was good for what we required, lovely presented home. everything there. wifi, milk and cereal and goodies. lovely rooms, shampoos, conditioner and soap in bathroom. master bedroom bed was excellent. all rooms catered very well, aircon wonderful.

Very comfy couches and beds. Ducted air-conditioning was very comfortable after a hot day seeing the sights. Thoughtful welcome snacks with wine which added a nice touch to the stay. Tasteful decor throughout with plenty of bench space in the kitchen. I'll be back.

Dirty ashtray on table on front patio. Couldn’t get dvd player to work. No fan for toilet and couldn’t see any smoke alarms.
Inside and side front was lovely. Backyard could be more inviting. Lovely gesture leaving nibbles for us.

The house was excellent with regards to size. The place very clean and the host Candice was very accommodating. Loved it and will definitely use again when next in Broken Hill.

This was a wonderful facility!! Clean, quiet and spacious. Had every possible convenience including a laundry. Bed was very comfortable so we slept really well. A little out of the way but only a 5min drive to supermarket, atm etc and only a few minutes more to the centre of Broken Hill. A very generous 'welcome pack' was a wonderful surprise. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back.
