Wooden house is very cozy to stay in, but also can feel any movement around and it is not sound proof. Luckily in two weeks, only one night that other guests were talking loud till early morning at the pool side.

The location is incredibly strategic – right next to Cairns Central, public transport hub, and walking distance to the Rusty market, night market and the Esplanade. It made getting around the city so easy and convenient. The staff (Peter) were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, offering great hospitality from the moment I arrived. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free, which I really appreciated. The room had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. Communal kitchen, dining area, living room, garden space with a pool, laundry room and vending machine. A lovely bonus was the great cafe serve good cappuccino right next door.

Our room and the hostel overall was clean and comfortable. Peter was friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night, so didn't get a chance to use many of the amenities, but everything seemed well-serviced. Free street parking just outside the hostel was convenient as well.

Great stay in Peter's house. Peter works hard to make everything tidy from early morning till late at night. The place is very comfortable and well located in Cairns. Rooms have a lot of charm and I'd come back again with pleasure.

The flooring as you go into the bathroom seemed soft and didnt feel safe.

It is a little bit of a hike from the main attractions of Cairns but only about 10 minutes on foot to the promenade and lagoon. However it is very close to the major shopping center, which is literally across the street.

The place is very nice and relaxed and a good value. Nice having free parking out front. Peter was very helpful with tips and he booked us a great trip to the barrier reef for snorkeling. Good facilities and clean.

One of best hostel’ style accommodation I have stayed in. Very Quiet. Stylish urban beach chic decor in the rooms. Extremely clean facilities. Was busy with traveling families and the much less rowdy van packers. Central. The manager found a nice off street secure spot for my motorcycle. Booked my room for the return from Cape York before leaving ✅ Would highly recommend

The windows had gaps in them - but no insects came through so it didn't bother us. And this is not anyone's fault, but we can hear everything that goes on outside, so be considerate when talking and walking around.

The building was great! And the beds were comfortable. There was a pool and it was surrounded by greenery. It felt safe and I liked having a twin room. It was calm and peaceful.

My mum and I spent a night but even though it was just for a night we enjoyed our stay. We really appreciate the homely and comfortable environment, making it a great place to relax, especially after a day of exploring. Peter, the manager, was so kind to check on us as we were exploring Cairns and ensuring we were able to find the location. Travellers Paradise is affordable and conveniently situated near attractions, restaurants, and public transport, allowing easy access to local sights. We really liked the communal spaces where guests could meet and socialize, making it a great opportunity to connect with other travellers. It was indeed a great experience.
