Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe loved staying at the farm. There was so much space for us to explore and the cottage was so comfy and cosy! We loved everything about our stay.

AustraliaEverything, the location, the animals, the activities, the tractor farm tour, the knowledge of the farmers about their animals and their land was exceptional, they take great pride in their business. This was our second visit, this visit we stayed at the Lodge which was in a separate area to the main farm. The owners help connect you by having feed available, open paddocks and fence line to get over to the main farm and include you in everything happening, but you have a seperate entrance, yard and cottage for a little more privacy if you want it. We had friends visit and they too loved the farm. We will be back again.

AustraliaThe only complaint (minor!) is the bed was very soft - a firmer mattress would have made the stay perfect!
Beautiful family run farmstay not far out of Torquay that’s perfect for the whole family. Lots of indoor and outdoor toys and play areas provided to entertain the baby, gorgeous decking to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon beer, and around the clock animal feeding. You can even take the goats for a walk! We stayed in the Lavender Cottage, which felt homely, clean and well equipped with a full kitchen. Everyone was happy and we look forward to our next stay!

Really great place for families, our kids (2 under 10) both loved the experience of having pigs and sheep right outside our cottage front porch. Every morning the kids would run out and around to feed the animals, get eggs from the hen, pick some lemons from the orchard, pat the goats etc while parents got some peaceful time preparing breakfast. The kitchen is well equipped, beds are nice and firm, everything was clean and cozy, and I liked how the garbage bags were scented. As we stayed over Christmas, every cottage was furnished with a tree which was very special. The only thing that's missing is a dish washer, though it was a non-issue because I enjoyed doing dishes right in front of a large window looking out to the farm, trees and animals which was therapeutic for us city folks. Overall an amazing experience. A little bit rustic and definitely not a resort, but i suppose that's how it is staying on a working farm. The kids found similar aged friends and had a great time. Location was fantastic and we drove out to the Great Ocean Road twice and went as far as Twelve Apostles. It's about 10min drive to Torquay which had some of the best beaches and lots of supermarkets. Friendly and hard working staff with some of the best fed animals I've seen (the pigs grazed on dragon fruits, kiwis, plums and all kinds of berries all day long, it was a lot of fun feeding them, the kids had a blast)

AustraliaWe were tripped up by some ambiguity on the booking.com website which meant we didn't get the room configuration we needed, but we were able to make it work. Recommend checking with the owners directly before confirming your booking.
A terrific location for a large family gathering, the cottages were clean and well-maintained, lots of little thoughtful bonus extras (gumboots!) that were a pleasant surprise. Everyone loved interacting with and feeding the farm animals, collecting eggs for brekkie and picking fresh fruit from the orchard. A safe environment for kids to explore, the farm tour was a lot of fun and informative too. I hope all the piggy babies were born healthy and happy!

SingaporeThe kids room. We were 5 adults staying in and all are relatively tall. It would have been better to have a queen bed or 2 single beds.
The farm tour, authenticity of a farm stay or a close replica, no internet - calls for plenty of bonding time!, the fireplace!, the animals and the ability to feed the cows from our stay!, farmer Phillip and Marissa as well as all others on the farm!

SingaporeWould have been great if there was another shower as 9 of us had to take turns bathing. Other than that, no issues at all!
We stayed at the Lodge and it was such a nice house. Lovely views and sometimes you get to see the cows right in front of the property. Loved the farm tour and the staff were prompt and responsive. We loved the farm area too, the kids had so much fun just playing in the playground and feeding the different farm animals. Such a great stay and wish we can return soon.
